Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hmm, maybe I can jump on this bandwagon.
Long story short, I met a guy through my college who also really likes the original UT and we may end up playing it together (I will be playing it on my mom's laptop though, ugh). Now I will be playing it a bit and I can introduce the guy to some good mods.
I might be able to give a handful of reviews myself. Don't worry, Neme. I am MUCH more mature than I was when you first met me, haha. Though, I didn't think I was that bad, just had too many battles with that Jehuty kid (which I think where mainly intentionally harmless flames... or maybe he was just a stupid kid and my points against him in my posts seemed better or something). Eh, enough of that.
But like XepptizZ, I can only play UT99. I might be able to play 2k3 and/or 2k4 eventually, but not right now and maybe not soon.
The idea of being a Modsquad reviewer could give me more cred as a BUF user, and perhaps mod developers could work on a couple of my mod ideas (Hey Neme, remember my Elemental Weapons idea that you actually liked, but never got made?).
I also have a concept in the Concept Discussion Forum of WodModPod. Check it out.

The thing was, when we ran MS, for whatever reason, the review crew just so happened to be semi-decent writers. When I look back, and think about it, and I look now, I really honestly wonder how the 3/4 of us got together and put anything coherent together. I look around now, and honestly, people lack basic essay writing skills. I'm not asking for journalists/novelists. I just want some people with college-level writing skills. Hell, even now, I want to go back through the database and rewrite a lot of the old reviews, just because they are so juvenile (in retrospect). I think setting up reviewers now will be tougher, as my writing skills have vastly improved, so do my expectations.
The reviews could be improved, but realize they are just reviews of mods, and don't need to be some ridiculously arsty farsty novel just to explain the fact that the mod gives you bullet time or something. Reviews should be informative, unbiased if possible (maybe more than review on some mods depending on the mod itself), and for the most part straightfoward, but with reasonable detailing.

Anyway, I was surprised (and sad) to see that ModSquad didn't have any updates for that long...
...then I decided to come here and see if there was any threads alive, so that's it. I'm glad to see people are trying to "resurrect" modsquad...
But it looks like many here would be willing to review UT99 mods??? That's weird. I though that no one else was playing UT99. That's one of the reasons I left my mod alone (Apocalypse Weapons).
Still, I just wish that MS will come back soon, even though I don't like UT2k3/2k4 and won't use it, but it has really helped me a lot in UT99, not only by presenting so many mods, but also for the reviews which helped me to continue the work on AW.
I may even restart working on AW, if MS comes back...

So you're the maker of AW? very cool.
I don't know if you might be interested, but I'm working on a UT Bonuspack and an extra scripter would come in handy.
That's also what's been occupying me from making a review.
Anyways, the mod shoulnd't be dissappointing as almost everything is made custom. We're already having about 15 weapons planned, most of them are already modelled, the pick-ups are going to be revamped, it will come along with a necrispick-up mutator, 5 or so new playermodels are in development and mappers are busy too (I hope)

Ahm... I'm not really into coding. AW just sucks at Multiplayer because of my limited skills... and I was never able to get it work properly. That's why I focused on creating more things... just to separate it from multiplayer even more, by adding tons os projectiles and functions, so it turned to be a single player mod only.
