Is it safe to leave a PS2 on all night?

The worst that a playstation can do.

Explode in a radioactive orgy of nuclear destruction
- - or - -
Transform into an unstoppable death-dealing Sony murderbot

You decide.

Can I control the murderbot? If not I'm going to have to go with nuclear destruction.

Hm, I wonderi f the game e was Time-Unlocking was Guilty Gear XX, cause I did the same thing - 140 hours or so to time-unlock it all. :p

And no, mine didn't melt. It does sass me now occasionally though.
Guilty Gear X2, yup. God, I thought it would be easy to unlock all the endings but OMFG, it's so hard, you have to jump through so many hoops that this is just so much easier. :p

edit: oh, it'd be nice if they told you how long you'd been playing. Soul Blade for the PS1 had a time counter, so that if you were time unlocking things in that (did that there too :p) you'd know how long it'd been. GGX2 doesn't have anything like that as far as I can tell, so I have no idea how far along I am.

If you want to be extra safe leave the PS2 up on its side not flat down, that gets the air flow going a little bit better.

Don't leave the PS2 vertical, it causes the laser to become out of alignment and the natural configuration of the PS2 can't reset, unofficially you can take your PS2 appart and remove the Laser setup, and manually realign it, but I would never recomend it, it's not a good idea at all.
I think as much as the vertical design idea was a good design but the problem is it will scupper the machine eventually.

Funny isn't it, how Sony have got too big for their boots, the PSP's Square button doesn't work properly and the PS2's laser goes out of alignment when it's vertical...

If it were meant to be vertical, it would have been built with that in mind. When it trays out, it comes out horizontally, meaning it was meant to be horizontal. Instead it's just "Hey look, the PS2 is wide enough to put on its side. Isn't that NEATO?!"

My machine's never been vertical and never will be.
