I'm not an RTS fan, but Age of Empires kinda made me think, "Hey, that's pretty cool!" I'll check it out.
MMM, if my pos DSL worked I would be downloading that now, oh well.
One another note, does anyone still play rise of nations? I bought it the other day looking for something on the cheaper side to keep me busy until I get my new computer and STALKER comes out!

holy ****ing ****, this was the first noticably large file i've downloaded in my dorm so far (3 weeks now) and apparently my internet is capable of 3.2 megaBYTES/sec (from the microsoft url)
Graphics look pretty tight...but not going to install until my new PSU and 6600gt arrive on Friday.

The game's pretty, that's for sure. Maybe not as pretty as the released screenshots, but it does run smoothly even on the default high settings. That is, until the game plops you with umm... 50 or so units, but even then it's still playable.
Other than that, it's AoE3. It's got a very distinct "this is a sequel" feel. In other words, if you absolutely loathe AoE2 or rts's, then there's not enough here to get you excited. But otherwise, it mucks around enough with the formula (rather than streamlining it) so it's good, fresh fun with genuine improvements all around. Less micromanagement, better **** blowing up, yay!
And bobtheking, start seeding torrents. Now. The internets will thank you.

i didn't like the 'trial' some basic animations missing and models as well by the looks of things which isn't a great move.
I know it's only a trial but the stuff in there should at least work.

RoN 2 hasn't been released yet. Only RoN and it's expansion.
AoE3 looks interesting, but it looks far too different from 1/2 for my liking. Besides, my current rig won't run it very well, and I have no interest in upgrading right now.
