  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Well I haven't seen the actual weapons yet besides a few screenshots, but they definitely do need to be bigger than the UT2K4, though not necessarily when you're holding them. The UT2K4 weapons do look more like toys than weapons which only makes the nerfed firepower worse.

Hey guys, I lost touch with this project when I realized I had no time to contribute but I'm glad you guys seem to be pulling it off. I hope it turns out -- if so it'll be great and potentially played (unlike so many UT mods).

Are you still working off danseko's physics/movement code base? What about weapons -- will UT1 weapon properties be used? And how is the translocator coming (or did you track down musc@t to incorporate his bang-on UT1 trans mutator)? Just curious...

I'd like to see if we could use Musc@t's trans, it just seems _right_.

As to the weapons - they seem plenty big in-game (its probably due to my FOV being 95, and the res I play at) although they are REALLY big thanks to Darknight, our coder, who messed up my drawscales. :D
Really though, they look kickass, and the third person models are the first person models from 99. And just so you know, they are slightly higher in polycount than the other 2k4 3rd person weapons. (~100-150)

To physics - theryre no different yet, but I'd like to see if we can implement something like in the Project UT mod, where people tumble, and bodies can be gibbed, and stick around longer than in 2k4.

sounds and music from UT to UT2004. I'm not looking for job, but that
doesn't mean I can't make a contribution. I'm going to e-mail Nick_C

mod. He made a slew of maps for UT and a couple of my maps are there in

Oh, I forgot to ask--speaking of the translocator,
personally I would like to see the bots use it the way
they do in UT--at designated points where there are
Translocator Start and Translocator Destination actor
classes set up. I hate the way the bots use the
translocator in UT2004--to the point I've turned it
off in all game modes. So my question is how will
bots use translocator in this mod?

Oh well, I gave a little TLC to his rendition of Zeto. Actually, not really, I began to rebuild it from scratch, heh. It looks good, and is in a currently fully playable state now, I'm just tying up the loose ends.

As for other maps, there's a few I had my eyes on... I'll take a look at them once I'm through finishing Zeto.
