hehe, just a question

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Download someone's map, open the .txt and copy/paste the stuff at the bottom into your own .txt and Voila! Your map is now copyrighted. That means if someone tries to take credit for your work, he is bad.

THis is what everyone does. EVERYONE.
I think legally you have to send a copy of it to the department of something or another and ask for a copy right.

no, all you have to do is SAY it's copyrighted, a patent is where you gotta talk to the big boys.

lol, you cant patent a map or a readme or anything else you could conceivably make with Ued, not even UT or Ued or the unreal engine could be patented. . .

To officialy copyright, I think you just have to send your thing in with 10 bucks or something. . . I'd be surprised if anyone has ever actualy copyrighted their map. . .
