Great Weapon Idea (really)

You should place a realistic military style flame thrower. This would add more variety to the weapon styles.

But very hard to code it right so that it acts like a real flame thrower.

Maybe they will consider it for future versions. (Lets hope they do!)

Not to rain on the parade, but flamethrowers havent been used since Vietnam, and even there there was limited usage. One could argue that WWII was the last large scale usage, making it a bit of a defunct weapon.

Flame throwers went out of style (with armies) after WW2. No real purpose for them in INF as it is now. Maybe for Unreal 2 or something where the enviroments might include foliage (sp) and or animal type baddies without weapons. Kinda like in Aliens /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The only people that i can think of that might use "flame throwers" are those people that do controled forest fires.

Not true they still use the flame thrower, they don't use flaming napalm for the weapon now they use a special liquid instead.

We're making a commando mod and it would be a very special mission where you would use a flamethrower or for that matter AT4. Most would be done by weapon platforms, or with C4.
