put green lights around it. you only have to give the APPEARANCE that it is coming from the slime.

there is, but it will only come from the vertex that was last selected, which sucks. =D

Light emmiting-textures are not a feature of the ut engine. I don't think it is in the warfare engine either, I haven't heared anything though.

I would use until if I were you, it can look a little ghey at times. I'd set SpecialLit on the slime properties. And then add a light above it with bSpecialLit - True under lighting properties.
This light will only light up the slime. You can then alter the light properties till the slime looks like it's glowing.

Then you can add a few normal lights around the slime's surface with a small radius (10 or so) so that it looks like the slime is giving off light.
