Ok I know that this assault rifle is coming. But as far as INF I have some questions.

Will it feature a single round, 3 round burst, and full automatic firing?

What attachments will it have? A suppressor? A lam? A scope? A flashlight? A grenade launcher?

How many rounds will its magazine house?

In aiming mode how much of the screen will it obstruct (ie will the aiming view look like the FN P-90's which obstructs the bottom of the screen)? What will the aiming be comparable to already in INF?

How fast will it reload compared to the weapons that are in INF now?

What will it's recoil be like compared to the weapons that are in INF now?

Yes..is fires in Full-Auto, 3-Round Burst and Semi-Auto

Attachments: none that i know of (or none mentioned yet)

(although IRL there are loads you can get for it including supressors, flashlights, even nade launchers i think..)

Magazine holds 30 rounds (as opposed to TO's 25)
(5.56 x 45mm NATO rounds)

My guess will be that; by the nature of the gun (with the big front 'bit' whatever its called has iron sights in, so probably similar to the P90 :p

"Gryphon!? Where are you?"

Reload time....i guess not too long? Bit longer that the MP5, but not too slow..

Recoil, i think the bullpup design or whatever its called is supposed to reduce recoil, so it shouldnt be too bad atall, but not as easy as the current P90, cos that has been described as a 'cheat gun' because of the excessive lack of recoil.

(although, come to think of it, it has a pretty fast rate of fire, so i dont know about the kickback)

BTW, almost all of those things can be easily found out in the armory section including a detailed run down of all the weapons currenly ingame, and those planned :D

Does that answer your question(s)?

Go for it....

Yeah! Lets hide some easter eggs in the next build of Inf....no pun intended

But yeah, say a mortar or nade launcher that would work normally, apart from easter, when it fires eggs...now that would be a good 'easter egg'

Should this be in the 'New version suggestions' forum? :p

Although the armory says "attachments: none" there had been some infos about a surpressor and ACOG. In the news sometime ago, Warren told us, that the FA-MAS is in game and the attachments will follow. But maybe the team changed its mind about the attachments.

What ever the FAMAS comes out with, I will like it. I thought I sucked at this game, until I re-re-rediscovered the AKSMU. I believe the FAMAS will take place of that gun immediatly. If it has a scope and supressor, then I can use it instead of my M16+acog loadout.

"It has the Pink fluffy bunny launcher as attachment option so you can kill your enemies with love ."

What is it's weight, and how many shots does it hold?

Has anyone in REAL LIFE fired a FAMAS? Can you say how easy it is to use, or will you get in trouble with the government/military/secret orginization/NRA/alein invasion/monkey army?

I haven't fired a Famas, but i can give you some info on it.

Cartridge: 5.56 x 45mm Type France ( Note that all 5.56mm ammo will chamber but optimum performance is only achived with the french service ammunition.

Length: 757mm
Weight:3.61kg
Barrel 488mm
Magazine Cap: 25 rounds (although F2 version will accept m16 magazines i think)
Rate of Fire 950 Rds/min ( a little faster than the FNP90)

Saftey: Rotarty switch inside the front trigger guard fire selector/saftey. when it's parallel with the bore, it's set on safe. set to the right = single. to the left = full auto. To get 3rd bursts, you must operate a burst limiting button located behind the magazine well.

reloading with most bulpup weapons is generally a bitch from what i hear since it requires you to re-orienate the weapon completely. (it's the trade off from having a long barrel in a short package)

In the case of the Famas reloading should go something like this:
operate magazine catch, which is located in front of magazine, but behind the main grip. Pull out the mag. Insert new Mag, and pull back cocking handel (between recceiver and carrying handle--- looks like an upside down trigger)..

So basically it reloads just like the AK ( and the way the SIG SHOULD reload heheh ) in practice, just a little more awkwardly due to the bullpup design. So i imagine an in game reloading should take about 0.7 to 1 second more than the Ak's in game.

Useless tid bits of info: the famas was the first bullpup to enter military service. And there are also Famas chambered in .22 rimfire.

the french use extremely hot ammo, hence the difference in performance compared to standard NATO ammunition...

Magazine Cap: 25 rounds (although F2 version will accept m16 magazines i think)
the F2 was an intermediate design, whereas the G2 is the service model... the F2 only took the french 25-round mags (which were straight-bodied), but the G2 was designed with the NATO STANAG 30-round mags in mind...

untrue, at least from my experience with the AUG shorty and para... to the contrary, since the weight distribution is more even due to the grip being closer to CG... this allows the shooter to keep the weapon trained in the same general direction while reloading, as opposed to non-bullpups where a shift is necessary to keep the weapon balanced...
however, i do like the bolt catch on the M16, which is absent on the FAMAS... allows slightly quicker reloads... the difference is almost negligible, but in a firefight, that split second can mean the difference between life and death...
