Giant turrets cost me points!

OK, don't know if this is anywhere else because I'm lazy. I'm running around right now on Sunset Beach, ALONE, and I just blew up the two giant turrets. I lost 900 points on each one, 600 for destroying giant turret x 1.50 for killing teammate(?) What's up with that? And why is noone else playing? And why is my beer suddenly empty? C'mon people! My wife and child are out of town for the night, I finally have a chance to play again!

Oh yeah, it's about 7:20 Central USA.
