Thanks to NTKB I have been able to upgrade my rental TS Server to handle the INF Players. Please note the Port number after the IP (or name). It is VERY important that you add this to your connection information.

So, you say you do not have a mic. Who Cares, at least you can come in and hear your teammates

Also, when you joint be sure to Join the correct channel. By default you first Connect to the Use Only After 7pm CST M-F Channel (which you can not talk in).

Now look at the picture below. Note how there are players on each team and how their green lights are lined up. If you join and your light is not in line with someone else, then you are not talking to anyone.

In TS you can create keybinds real easy to switch channels without leaving the game. I suggest you RTM and setup keybinds.

Lastly, this is for the Inf Players that join up on GD Server. I wished I could allow any Inf player for any Inf Server but I can not (Bandwith issues). Also, as the top channel says, use only after 7pm CST M-F [all Day S&S]. Which are the time that GD Inf Server is unlock.

Here is a little program that interacts with TeamSpeak Client. The is a little window that says on top of games (Only OpenGL Games). It will allow you to see who is talking, who joins the channel you are on, and if someone leaves you channel.

Once again it will only work if you are using OpenGL mode in Inf.

It is easy to step up. Be sure to right mouse click on it and set these items:

(Check On) Remember Window Position
(Check On) Channel Sync
Click On Set Nickname (just like it is in TeamSpeak)​

Note: You will have to play with the position of this program so that it is in a good position while you are in game.

Start it, then start TS and connect to server.

What do you me auto switch teams? If you mean the people on the A/D channels will switch, no it will not. As a matter of fact I am thinking of changing those channel names.

As for the Bad Nick. In that message it will tell you what is wrong with your nick name. Either copy the message down or get a screen shot of it for me if you can not fix it.

BTW: I am using a Dev Build B51 of TS Server, so if there is something strange in your name, you had better correct it since you will have this type of problem when the new server is released to everyone

BTW, no need to send me the error or Screen shot. It seems that B51 has new debug logging that allows me to see who is logging on in Debug log file.

I highly highly reccomend this. A group of us were using this program the other day, even with one of us without a mic, made the experience go much better. We were able to discuss strategy, quickly change plans, and inform each other of what we were working on without having to lift a finger. Well, one finger, but that was just to press 'communicate'. Voice chat is part of every other big game out there now, and for a reason! Go get it, you won't regret it.

i don't have to push a communicate button...I just talk into the mic. But it was a lot of fun, definately helps when the team can communicate fluidly.

I'm with Keg. Phoenix Rising should look at that (Demosthanese), it seems to be a lot more user friendly and reliable than TeamSound was during our testing.........

Good program, and using it was the most fun I've had in a long time playing Infiltration. Had a blast with the other GD guys playing, and Bunnie, when we played TDM on some old maps in the SG server.

Yeah, TS is an awesome program. Thanks Odie for providing that OGL window, BIG help. Wonderful server by the way. Anyway, if anybody can think of a way to have TS somehow intereact with INF to the point where it can automatically switch you to the correct channel if you get switched team-wise, that would be choice. Unless that's somehow a hidden bonus feature in TS that lets you switch channels without using the GUI, and rather using a binded key. Either way, INF is 300% more fun because of this. Except for when the people using it are 12 years old, beatbox into their mic, talk on the phone and yell at their moms......(if you've been playing with "Metox" or "YourBestFriend" at all, you know what I mean). Haha, people should be required to have a "Communicate" button.

TeamSpeak officially supports custom Keybinds to switch channels, mute your mic, and more

You can find all this in the TS window under "Settings -> Key Settings"

Join your favourite server, set up your keybinds, enjoy

Ok... TS is cool. But the sound of the game (not from TS) gets heavily distorted from time to time. It starts as a minor glitching effect to become totally unbareable. It does that bout 40% of the time while i'm connected to a channel. If I'm not in a channel, there's no such effect. Anyone had similar problems on GD with TS?

Well if there is any one issue that I have seen with TS is sound issues with *some* games. Example is BF1942. When I was in a clan there was one or two guys that *TS* transmitt sound would go nuts on us.

Also you will see people posting issues in the TS fourms and what seems to be the number 1 card issue is sound blasters. Then the number one answer is get new drivers (or in some cases a new card). The TS Devs seems to always fall on this answer, "Creative Labs write crap drivers". I never liked that answer but want can you do with a "free" program?

Anycase, I suggest that you visit the TS Fourms and for the love of god use the search. Those guys will flame you faster than President Truman bombed Hiroshima if you do not.

....if enough people complain about it, i guess theres always ventrilo, it has a nice high quality/ low kb usage codec, and its a pretty quick dload and setup....but TS works for me.

i howver cant get that damned opengl window thing working, it pisses me off greatly.

There's a problem with TS in Windows XP, I can't remember the exact circumstances but the sound would be heavily distorted. This was fixed by rebooting. As said above, head ofer to the TS forums.

Hmm, XP and TS issue? Not that I know of and I have been using both ever since XP came out. However, that does not mean there is an issue with XP/Sound Card/TS or XP/Some Games/TS. I think not XP/INF/TS, since I have had zero issues at all.

Now, NTKB has some strange issues with his USB Mic/TS. He is (was) using the UT EAX Patch too. But I also hear that USB mics just bite.
