LOL FM Thanks for not mentioning the cursed server. You have no idea how much headaches that gave me and especially poor old ghost. Reactor46 is STILL looping. It appears its a map issue. I know it would be difficult but could you find out why? There are so many ppl who want to play this thing and it would be greatly appreciated if you did. ;)

EDIT: BTW Saladin i offered for us to pitch in for some RAM also. I will discuss it more with Keg later. I dont think buying a RAM chip will be a waste for more than 2 months of server usage if it helps with performance issues. Ill keep you informed if you would like to help out. (maybe you can sell your WRX and buy us a server)  ;) :D

I'm as keen as anyone to find out why it's not working, but I can't reproduce the problem myself. I *do* know, however, that the version I released required you to have installed the files from both of the original Reactor Sector 4 and Reactor Sector 6 zips.

Can you be sure it's not a missing file / version mismatch problem?

Matt

I dont think that would loop the server but I will have ghost double check that.

If you still have problems, let me know what serverpackages (and what versions) and so on you have set up, in case its a mutator or something causing the problem (which would be my best guess, since it works for me on a basic dedicated server I set up).

<P^R>1 is running off a rented server provided by recongamer.com and is based in Virginia from what I understand and is running RA286 made by duke.
<P^R>2 is running from Kegs hub in Seattle and runs vanilla 2.86
<P^R>3 is also running from Kegs hub in Seattle and runs RAv2

Bingo, Imperial. <P^R>2 and <P^R>3 don't get that much attention, so they're not something to worry about, really. {GD}4 is hosted on my box, but is managed by the Ghost Dogs. What they do there is up to them...as long as it doesn't blow up my box or interfere with my work too much ;) The real issue is when I'm compiling something and people are playing...they get not-so-much-fun lagspikes as the processor is divided between compiling and gameplay. :)

Actually Keg is running this from his work I think, so it would be a bit odd if he just randomly started upgrading the companies computers for no apparent reason :p

Well, it was more than just the computer being turned off...the computer services people turned off the port it was plugged into. Yar. Hopefully it will be brought back soon. Even then, I'll have to make sure that the server running wasn't the reason for the problem...I don't think it was; a co-worker brought in a windows 2000 server and it had some issues that might be related to the port being shut off. So, I'm going to have to wait until I know for sure it was the server itself that caused the problem. Sorry guys...

Edit: Oh yes; I also think I understand why the lag was wierd at times. This computer was plugged into a hub which 8 other computers are also plugged into, before it reaches the wall. I'll try to swing it so I can get my own wall port, but that may not be possible. :hmm:

Okay now...I've brought it back up. I'm on my own port in the wall, and I'm only running two of the three INF servers from before. This should free up more memory than before, and the bandwith shouldn't have wierd spikes like before. Hopefully I won't get shut down again  ;) Don't worry about the bandwith part; that wasn't the issue, for sure. I've downloaded tons of stuff from here...it's not the issue ;)

Yep, <P^R>3. <P^R>2 is on the same machine too, NTKB. <P^R>3 is essentially being replaced by {GD}4, since we <P^R>'s already have a RA server.

Oh yeah. This is *moved to INF-Online.*
