Forthcomming Maps and Your Input

    Well, after lots of good input from my House Assault Map Pack I have decided to keep going with Infiltration maps.

    I have a new one almost finished, it consists of a large island plateau that one side holds while the other comes in on helicopters from a ship. Im almost done, I just need to put int he helicopters and the bot paths.

    I also have 2 other maps "in the works".

    1.This one is a beach assault with landing craft and such.
    2.A "escort" style map where you start with the CD and have to take it to the laptop behind enemy lines.

    Anything you guys want to see in these maps? Any other ideas?

    House Assault is probably one of my most favorite Infiltration levels. If you could make another building level like that (maybe an office complex or something) it would rock. The main problem I have with House Assault is that in some rooms there are 3 or 4 other connecting rooms, and there is no good way to cover all the exits and entrances. Try to make all rooms only have 1 or 2 exits so you can secure them, mine them, what have you. Other than that I think you are doing a great job!

    It's really great to hear you've got more maps on the way for Infiltration! I'd have to agree with Catalyst in that you map is one of my favorites! I'd also like to see more urban style CQB room to room fighting.. this is some of my favorite stuff. Especially an office building with multiple floors, elevators, and stairwells! Desks and/or cubicles, etc. Looking forward to your other maps!

    Thanks for the great compliments on House Assault! Really encourages me to keep mapping.

    As for a office style map, I have some basic layouts down on paper of one and just need to pick some textures before starting a more detailed plan. I've hit some idea blocks concerning my next map (Island Assault) so maybe I'll give this one a try.

    ...and still wishing Unreal had ladders...

    As for the office building map... how about a hostage situation? surrounding sniper perches ...

    How about the Iranian embassy in london? ala the SAS raid... sniper in Hyde park??

    Any idea whether UT could do ladders or breaking glass??

    Also.... if you intend to do vehicles of any kind... please make them detailed... I love POW camp... but the 'cars' in that aren't functional at all..
