Argh!

There are two versions out there:

Version1:
size 386.350 Bytes
contained in
- fmovmap.zip from combatmaps.de
- EAS-INF-Skopje_EX

Version2:
size 387.259 Bytes
contained in
- EAS-INF-fmKasbah

Which one is the most-up-to-date one and which one is distributed the most?

The one without third person animations is actually the bigger one (what I thought because of the dates on the files).
This means Combatmaps and Realmaps updated to the wrong version!
Please fix this on Combatmaps and Realmaps, we'll have missmatch parties and Skopje_EX will be played in this weeks ILCR match!!!

What about giving each F"§"§%/=&! Version of these mutators a unique number, which IS CONTAINED in the name?!

F.i:
makeADonaldDuckOutOfEveryINFPlayerWhoIsCalledYurch_1_09.u
makeADonaldDuckOutOfEveryINFPlayerWhoIsCalledYurch_1_09.int

With _1_09 meaning Version 1.09.

If those coders out there could agree to one standard, it would be so much easier to install mutators and get F"&$=/ rid of those version missmatches!

Dunno. Takes me 1 minute to unzip and drop a file into my UT/System directory, opposed to the 3 minutes to open 6+ .uc files and do a replace-all for the package name. Not to mention, in the event a mutator is designed to look for another package's resource, it's screwed if the Package changed from FMdecos to FMdecos1.8, etc.

End result? More efficient to unzip yourself. If you're too busy to do that, don't bother downloading the mutator/map to begin with, just get it streamed into your cache from a server.

because this would mean updating all references within the maps for a simple one time bugfix?
If it WAS a one time bugfix...

Maybe that's possible for the overview-map, but definetely not for such mutators as M16A4 or XM-8. You HAVE to install them in order to create a loadout. And there are several versions of these mutators out there which repeatively stop me from joining a server.

Besides that it would make it much easier to stay up to date.

renaming the package nameof a addon weapon would need you to rename all references to the old package in its weapon, projectile, ballistics, etc. classes, as well as its .int files. also you'd have to delete the old version all the time manually anyway and redo your loadout each time it gets updated, so you can just as well just copy the files to your system folder.

Okay, what ever the correct version is I need it today. CombatMaps.de seems to be down and I am not sure if RealMaps was updated. Where might I get real fmovmap.u?

NM, RealMaps is on the ball. Even has a bit about this file on there front page.
