I was watching the movie Heartbreak Ridge on tv a couple of days ago. In the movie the soldier with the m16+m203(forgot his name) doesn't shoulder the m16 to fire the m203. He kinda shoots it from the hip and doesn't seem to use any sights. So to all you active millitary and ex-millitary guys. Is this how your really fire them m203? And what is you SOP for firing the m203?

Hey, how come we don't have those? That would be a way to keep those ACOG people from having a M203; requiring the ladder sights so you can't have an ACOG too.
Its not the ladder sights that block the ACOG. Notice the quadrent sight in the back required to use the ladder - it blocks the handle.
what I think is they should provide the ladder site, but still allow you to attach both acog and 203.
when the ladders engaged, it will be visually blocked.
the person using both attachments right now probly isint much concerned with accuracy since a "proper" configuration yields no benefits either.
reward the guy who nades without an acog.

If they did it right, the ladder sight should come with the M203. The M203 40mm grenade launcher provides a new grip. The top, of which, has a ladder sight attached.
Nuff said.
Heartbreak Ridge is a great movie, but still Hollywood at its finest of having no clue how weapons are really used.
