FHI lameness

It wouldn't really be fine - its better to start from scratch. The problem is if you had to race someone would you want to give them a head start? Someone who wants to start from level 1 will still have a hard time against the 2500+ levels (I STILL don't get how they do it, do they sleep?).

I've spent over 6 months tog et to level 530+-, and I wish to keep that. Sure, I dont play 24 hours a day, but I do play it and I dont want to start all over from level 1 again. Imagine having a race where they suddenly say 'Back to lap 1!'

putting a caps on things will only make ppl disappear from the server becuase there wont be a goal left any more
i think the +5 exp per lvl u need to shoot make s higher lvlt ppl more fanatic than ever
i for example hav to shoot over 13000 exp for just getting 1 lvl and loads of ppl in higher lvl prolly think i can do it so i will
and at a sertain point higher lvl ppl will disappear becuz it will get impossible to gain 1 lvl even
so wil i
when i hav to do 2 maps just to gain 1 lvl im out
no fun in that cuz rpg is about getting godlike and if u take that away or if its getting impossible im gone just the same
but i feel ppl need to take others into concidderation (lower lvls)
some high lvl r shooting like nuts right of the start and when they have lighting rod keep it running whole maps
all off that make s it very difficult for lower lvls to make a kill
me for example im lvl 2500 i dont shoot in the first few wave s and let lower lvl s gain some points
if ppl would do that than polls about what player i hate most on this server would not be needed any more
cuz ppl r doing exacly that cuz some players r beeing real asses out there
but sinds i starded playing i do see more and more ppl do start playing in here
at first i was always alone (exept for few lamers who join in good maps only)
now i hav some good players finally playing whit me and also trying to hav some fun

hmm when i first started lvling there was no lameness
ppl even let me shoot first wave s
for me that wasnt neccecary i luv beeing low lvl and fight over the few exp u can get as low lvl
but if every1 just helps eachother out a bit instead of seeing this as 1 big race
than every1 would be ok
and yes some play more than others so what, it is not a race is it?
it is a place to have fun

I don't really mean that it is a race, as many of us play more than just that one server - what I mean is that once someone is 2,000 levels ahead of you and you can't use the tactics they used to get there, it isn't really fair to that gamer. It's just my opinion though, I'm sure resetting the levels would hurt the players who are on all the time more than it would hurt me.

but i do know she is also playing on several servers
i am also playing on more than 1 server

and wookie yeah if u hav some higher lvl s to deal whit at a sertain point its kinda up to the higher lvl how they deal whit it
i try not to shoot everything cuz it make s ppl mad and angry at ya
and if a am not shooting everything and some1 is still complaining i am going to do the opposide to that person and will shoot everything away
cuz i hate noobs that think they can get same frag count as a higher lvl
rpg higher lvl in general = pure ownage
unless that higher lvl decide s to take things lil slower
lol i also hav a map or 2 i am shooting like nuts from the start i just luv to frag

Well I think I deciphered at least a portion of that -

If someone's complaining about you killing everything it's usually because of your score, even if you aren't it might seem like it to them. You shouldn't kill everything because of spite, but ignore them and fight in your own area
Because, even if you aren't, it might look like it to a level 1. Usually if there is a lvl 2,000+ on killing everything I'll take a break and wait until they leave. Just remember the game is about fun for everyone, not just the high levels

I no choice but to use the deemer panel maps, not because i'm lame but because everyone else seems to be lvl 500+ or more and i'm sitting there only lvl 12, cna't even level up cause everyone else kills all the monsters with one hit each and i die all the time, if everyone would stop using rpg on fhi or atleast reset the levels often back down to 1 then i'd be much happier and would not be so sadly and phathetically resorting to such maps.

First Off hello everyone at FH, love ure mods.
Back on Topic -
RPG is a heavily exploited mod regardless of what its bundled with, its practically impossible to stop, unfortunately i have seen too many good RPG servers get deserted because people exploit the mod to extreemes. One such example was a server where players would take it in turns to let the enemy team telefrag them(combine a Rocket Launcher of Infinity with people shotting their xlocator disks into the firing range). Its hard for the server admins, because everyone wants fair play but nobody wants caps.
What i am trying to say is that FHI is fine, those who chose to run FHI/RPG servers also choose to deal with these things. The only way is to limit RPG.

As it happens, me and a few others are in the planning stages of a new RPG with a bit of depth and equality whilst still retaining the classic RPG theme.

You should download and try the DRUIDRPG mutator. It does a good job of balancing out most of the RPG issues by Stat caps. Since the monsters damage is balance based on lowest living person in a wave, and you have stat caps on your damage bonus, if you had a group of high level guys and 1 or 2 low level guys, it is in your best interests to keep the low levels alive, so it promotes team play. At a certain point the monsters are gonna be doing more damage to you when you all high level, then when you were all low level. I would put in a link to the specific forum on this but I don't know if that is against the rules or not.

I have ut2vote set to vote for RPG invasion, and FHI RPG invasion. so, it may be in regular invasion mode with RPG.

the server defaults to regular RPG invasion. Started getting more players. They saw that they level up faster with FHI. so, I am converting many from regular invasion to FHI.
