  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. heya guys,

I made myself a FHI map, thought i share it with you. It's pretty ironed out i think, so pretty bug free, but there can always be a few right ? And if you got some good suggestions, i'm always open to them. (if i like em myself that is) ;)

Ah yes, wow, cool map

Well, as Parser has said, and you might've heard. Dark_Dust, I and a whole bunch of other community mappers/coders are making a Fraghouse Invasion Bonuspack, made entirely out of community work.
And we would really like that map in the pack.
So..

If it's cool with you. you could sign up at the team's forum.
Or drop by our website (with lots 'o info, screenies and such) for contact :)

So, hopefully I'll hear something from you..

Sure guys,

I'll gladly submit the map for that. :) I hope it's not too soon, cause i need to do a few changes to the map.

Some improvements planned:

- Some more detail in the spawnroom (corridor possibly as well)
- Branches on the trees
- Water in the dent with the fallen tree (any excuse for water is ok in my book) ;)
- Fallen tree roots sticking out of the ground
- Some smaller trees
- Maybe some nice light beams pointing up
- I might make the distance fog closer, but you might not be able to see the leaves then anymore, so i'm usure about that point.

Anyway, i'll visit that link above and see what the bonus pack is about. :D

Hi there, from what i see on the screens, it sure looks sweet :)

And Ronin said it already.. we'd like to include that map into our pack.
Note: At the moment i haven't got a chance yet to update the site, it says that the release will be on the 15th of this month, but we're moving roughly to half September.

So, plently of time for improvements and new maps. :)
The team is using my forum to hang out and discuss this Community stuff. We'd like to have you on the team. Sign up @ the forum if you like to expand our team and help us out.
By then i can authorize you to the FHCP section. ;)

Well, i haven't changed anything to the forum layout, but the forum host is a bit.. well.. crap..
I figured it has changed the 'menu' text color on it's own...to black.. WTF? :confused:
And, some icons are not displaying; again, this is from the host side..

I'll see what i can do about it.
And welcome aboard. :)

Oh well i've been in a team before with 3 dutchies, so i'll manage to adapt i'm sure. ;)

I hope i have enough time to make another map for FHI. 2 maps is better then one. :) We'll see how it goes.

Hmmm, strange forums indeed. Can't see a post thread button or something. Although on this rig (mom and dad's) I can see the register and login buttons in yellow. Takes some adapting magical forums ;) <- Nevermind, found the button. :)

I updated the map quite a bit and i'd say it's about finished. I added and changed quite a bit.

Some of the changes:
- Added some more detail into the spawn room
- Added a laserfence for defence
- Added branches to the trees
- Added a water pool
- added roots at fallen tree
- Added a few small trees
- Added light beams into the trees
- Added a bunker for defence
- Added FHI weapons

- Changed the bunker entrance for a bit (architecture and lighting)
- Changed the vehicles to use (or was that in another version already :p)
- Changed distance fog, so it runs a bit smoother

- Removed leaves projectors due to fps impact
- Moved some items around and moved all items out of the spawn area, so it's uninteresting to camp there and let the monsters come for you

- Tweaked the terain at various locations
- Tweaked the lighting and botpathing at various areas
- Tweaked the terrain deco layer to make it easier on the fps

- Probably more which i can't remember right now.
