For the spy plane, a U2 would be great. But in a crashed form of course.

For the SAM, I was thinking something like the PL-9. If you can't/don't want to do this, then I suppose I could just use the AA guns from Tuscany.

Here is a good pic of a suitable ejector seat:

I have another question for people that know how to use photoshop: Is there an easy way to blend two photos together so that there is no noticable border between them? I think there is a filter or something, but I just don't know what it is.

I don't know about Photoshop, but in a similar package (The Gimp) I'd put the photographs on different layers, create a layer mask for the top one, and then use the spraypaint tool to modify the layer mask. Then I'd probably combine the layers and do a bit of cloning to touch it up.

Depends on the photos, really (you may also need to adjust the relative contrast/brightness and/or sharpness)

Is there a way to simply mulitply a brush in size by a certain number? Like if I wanted to make a brush twice as big, I could multiply it by 2. The brush scaling tool sux.

Try Brush->Scale->Pre (or Post-)Scale -> X/Y/Z.

Note that this will (usually?) also affect your red building brush.

Right click the brush and select Reset->Transform Permanently to do just that (otherwise you can get strange things happening e.g. if you rotate the scaled brush).

On the plus side, this doesn't reset the texturing information (like the edit vertices tool does).

Is there some way to avoid getting these extra vertices when deintersecting large/complex brushes?

Depends on what you want to do. If you simply want to deintersect one single brush, don't. Right-click on a brush and copy the polygons to [red builder] brush instead. If you really need to use the deintersecting tool, try moving the brushes into a seperate temporary mapping area, rebuilding and doing it there. Not sure if this really works but I believe having less complex brushes around at the time can't hurt.

I've finished the SAM Launcher, the crashed plane (it's a modified F16 so sue me :p) and the eject seat. I only have to model the parachute, so if you want something don't hesitate :)

No way I'm modeling that :p

Anyway, here is my decos pack.
Quoted from the readme:
This pack contains :

* Crashed F16
it's composed of 3 separate parts:

- the main body
- the right wing
- a rudder

This was you can scatter the debris on
a bigger distance and it should look
better on a uneven terrain.

* Eject Seat (ACES II)
There again it's composed of 2 parts:

- the seat
- the parachute

Same thing, it prevents the disappearing
deco bug and allows you to place them
at different places.

* SAM Launcher
It's a 5T truck with a mounted PL9 launcher
well, I think that's how it's called ;)
It's composed of:

- an uncovered 5T truck
- a PL9 turret

It allows you to rotate the turret as you
like. You could also use the bare truck for
other purposes like insertion or supplies
transport.

I've also put an exemple map for you to see
how the parts should be put together.

DOWNLOAD HERE

Consider it beta for now, but if I don't update in the coming days consider it final :p

And here a some screen shots:

Erh, guys, it's an AH-64 apache, it's the US main assault helicopter (or whatever it's called) for quite some time, it has nothing "secret"......

Freon, nice decos, but why the iraqui flags on the missiles ? It limits the use pretty much. Imagine someone wants your deco for a Kosovo-based map, it'll look silly then.

Well, the missile is Chinese, but KW maps takes place in desert, so I thought an Iraqi flag would be better. Anyway, you can replace it as you like. I'm pretty sure you can apply the "jungle" texture to the truck as well.
