EAS-INF-ReactorSector46 now released!

Overview/map document

New EAS objectives have been added to the map, and entirely new areas created for the defender and attacker spawns. Lots of other things have been rejigged in the process. All credit, as before, to Spooger and Islington for the excellent starting materials :)

Your main objective is to steal a prototype device which has just been delivered to the reactor complex (loaded on the cargo mover, on the left of shot #1).

You have a backup team ready to remove the device. First you must move the prototype to the cargo mover area. To do this, you will need to lower the cargo mover doors using the relevant switches (see shot #2).

Then you will need to secure the prototype (it will arrive in the middle of the area shown in shot #3) to allow your backup team to move in via the underground cargo tunnels (with sniper support, obviously).

Then, to enable your team to extract from the heavily guarded reactor, you will need to create a diversion. By destroying the turbine control (shot #1) -- to which end you will be provided with explosives -- and then taking command of the control room (shot #2) you will be able to damage the reactor and trigger an evacuation of the site. In the confusion, you will be able to make good your escape.

You will initially be infiltrated by helicopter into a secluded part of the complex. Make your way through the basement of an outbuilding into the cargo courtyard (shot #3). Establish a presence by securing the top of the cargo ramp leading to the entrance hall of Reactor Sectors 4 and 6 (shot #4) and then secure the end of the entrance hall (shot #5), which latter action will allow you to bring reinforcements forward and take control of more routes into the complex (note in shot #5 the new entrance route into the reactor complex).

Clearly this map is now extremely huge and confusing. To try and alleviate the situation, I've (painstakingly) drawn up some diagrams which will hopefully make things clearer... (you may have problems printing/viewing these -- I only had retarded export options)

Oh, and a few other points:

- the crane mover control can be operated by either defenders or attackers, in the appropriate direction. The crane will only move if it is not blocked, so the attackers will need to control the crane mover control *and* the blocking doors.
- the bots aren't great, but they'll eventually do everything except open the cargo mover doors
- there are things which could be improved, for sure, but this has taken way too long to do so far, so this is my last stab at it (if there aren't any show-stopping bugs :) ).
- many thanks to the people who help beta test / make suggestions (KeihasWarrior, Vega-Don, Beppo, sublime, etc)

the only problem I can foresee is not enough time to do all the missions. but this is a good thing in a way cause its gonna take coordiantion between multiple teams to accomplish everything.

Hopefully... otherwise you can override the timings on the server, can't you?

Great Job FM! You have certainly gone above and beyond a simple conversion. I can't wait to play this online. I especially like how the reactor explodes (first pic) after the attackers win ty ty.

Two small things:
2) The strips in the wall by the hummers can still be seen through
3) This door seems to be missing a texture?

Good question... Against bots it can be quick, in fact, but they don't put up much of a fight. Maybe start it at 15 mins and see how it goes?

I won't be able to make GD to play it until the weekend at least though -- I hadn't spotted the time limit on the server before... (I'm a Euro)
