DTAS : play it before it's too late

Its not even the teamplay of DTAS thats the only advantage.

The fact is, DTAS makes everyone find eachother. In TDM, there is always the "wander around until you see the last guy and kill him" part that really sucks. In DTAS, you don't have to wander around beause everyone is going for the flag. It forces everyone to find eachother, even on the biggest maps.

So play it how you want! Slow and tactical with teamwork, or just rush in and kill everyone!!!11 The fact is that DTAS is faster than TDM because there is no wandering around.

The only reason why you think it is boring, is probably due to the large maps that are often played. The larger the map, the longer the round (this is true for both DTAS or TDM). If you like run and gun, quick shootem-ups, then just load DTAS with the maps that are on the TDM server. It will go faster than TDM.

Except that in eas, when you've been flanked, you get a second life to flank the flankers.

I have to admit, thats the worst part about TDM. People seem to think that maps like Kazakhstan and Sibera are fun, but the fact is they're random hallways in which you have to wander around looking for people.

TDM maps that end up being more fun are the small, simple, old ones. The ones with a chokepoint, or just one doorway. But those can be annoying too.

The greatest TDM map would have not too many, but not too few tactical advantage points. Like a sniper's hill, or the center of a courtyard, or a big tower or something. They would all be in plain view of eachother, and very little room for wandering. I think the MOH-Bridge map acheived this quite successfully.

I do agree with Derelan on that. I do have fun playing TDM on small maps, Dog Town with Gladiator a close second being my fav.

MovingDayMassacre! Except for that damn fence, and I always thought I was the only person who absolutely despised kazakhstan and siberia.

The only maps I really like to play DTAS on are tigerhunt and londoncity, both maps I think are well-suited for DTAS play, usually spawns aren't TOO far apart and both can take very interesting turns with good teamwork (and usually a good counter-sniper ;) )

But I don't see how it is tactically entertaining to [snip]

Well, i also don´t understand what is great in CS, go figure... ppl has different tastes.

For me, DTAS is the more tactic, team-oriented, slow-paced (and with the possibilty of stealth) gametype in Infiltration.
