When I used to play it on the public servers it was vanilla 2.86, so of course it was usually 12-20 players and everyone would start out strafing and dodging around behind the windows and buildings picking eachother off with Robars, then they would whip out their MP5's and AKMSU's and broom the trenches once the dust settled. Occasionally, people would charge the trenches early, but then it was more a matter of sniping them off quick before they got within spraying range rather than trying to spray them back.

Well that would explain it. That map is meant for no more than 6 players, total... It's supposed to be a lot slower paced then it seems to be described. :)

And we do listen to the communities ideas. The only thing is, that you guys need to realize that we've already thought of a bunch of this stuff already, so don't make it seem like just because it's new here means it hasn't already been considered.

And I'm still waiting on Jaunty to prove that he wasn't talking completely out of his ass when he said that there are a number of pistols that outdo the SIG.

Psychomorph- Check out an old Beretta BM59, the "Alpine" model. Folding stocked, magazine fed M-1 Garand, but in 7.62MM NATO.

I would'nt want one for combat use, but as a shooter? They're very nice.

Huh? The 226 is a damn fine full frame 9mm pistol.

Not when you already have an M9 :)

Beretta > Sig > Glock > USP

This is the order of the world, my friend. There is nothing we can do to change this. We were born into it and we must live with it.

I would only own ONE SiG handgun. The P-210 series. I would own a P-226 (P-220, etc) just long enough to sell, and or trade it for something else. A nice GP-35 maybe, or another CZ-75.

Kungpao- Not in the overall realm of handguns. There are FAR FAR worse choices one could make. I've little experience with the USP, limited to a weekend's "play". It left a good impression on me, although I remember it being "large" compared to a 1911A1..

Them's fightin words! :)

I really think that pistol choices are completely subjective to the user. The SIGs (I have a 228/220) fit my hand almost perfectly, and I am better with it then other handguns. I've outshot guys with 1911s and guys with 1911s have outshot me. I've outshot guys with Berettas, and guys with Berettas have outshot me. It all comes down to what you're comfortable with and how much you train with it.

TC- *Laughs* I have my reasons. With three exceptions, all the autos I own are single action. (CZ-75, P-38, Beretta 92 those exceptions, two of em are basically the same pistol.) I'm just "happier" using a forged steel single action auto. Petter/Browning designs are by far the most plesant, and accurate handguns I've handled, thus my preference for the P-210.

ok well for those of you who answered me in a way that wasn't well let's just say out of line for something being a game. Thank You the rest well sorry for making mistakes. I have never served in the military wanted to but have curtain things keeping me from doing so. That being said I'd really enjoy any ones help in learning more about fire arms piriod including the ones in the game, how to use them how to know what they are good for. That sort of thing. Any way thanks again.

Meplat- Did you learn on a SA trigger?

I've been firing SIG triggers as long as I've been shooting pistol, and I think I've just gotten used to them.

Wow, are HK pistols that bad?

It’s a matter of personal preference; they’re technically superb weapons of top-notch quality, but many people find them bulky and clumsy.

Personally, I’ve found that the USP and SOCOM are a bit too big for my hands -- they’re not too big for me to get a proper grip on, but the Beretta M92FS and Walther P99 are much more comfortable.

The #1 sited problem with the USP is that the trigger bends before it begins to pivot. It's the sort of thing that takes some getting used to, I guess.

Also, Sara, what is this magical M92FS of which you speak? I was not aware such a beast existed.

Thunderchunky- Yes, actually. First handgun I had was a Colt Woodsman. Although I've gotten used to the long initial pull, and short secondary pull of most DA autos.

I'd have to go with TC on SIG's. As far as ergonomics go the SIG's are first rate in my opinion. USP's (especially the .45 tactical) are like ouija (sp?) boards. You put your hand on them and they do the rest. I have alot of time on the m-9, I own a 229 but have fired my buds 228 alot, I own a USP compact but have fired the .45 tactical, the SOCOM, .40 compact, and have had a fair amount of time on the 9 fullsize, I've fired glock 17's whenever they are around to shoot. I personally hate glocks (I blame rap music and holliwood and not to mention the nice 2 year buy back deal with local law enforcement that glock offered a few years back.

For military use I'd have to go with either the beretta (its heavy can stand to field use), the USP tactical (good tactical pistol for lack of a better discription), or the sig simple to take down and a good accurate shooter on the fly. But I'd never in a million years go with a glock. Jaunty you can spout off way more data then I ever could on guns and I respect that, but that "order of the world" you posted gave me a chuckle. Sometimes bro you are just out there.

As for the Draganouv its not a bad system but it isn't by far the greatest... it works but any and I do mean any semi-auto "sniper" system just isn't going to cut it. Bolt actions have historically proven more accurate. As for the M-4 I know your not a fan but lets face it, in my experience with them they are easy to use and are well suited to a myriad of situations. I personally don't go with .308 in battle rifles. Oh sure go into "knock-down" power and all this but I can put more rounds out accurately with .223 in a row. Don't get me wrong I love the G-3 but can't reaquire as fast with it. Also I'd rather carry an M-4 50 miles then an m-14 or G-3 or FAL etc.

TC - Thought it looked different! Always expected that if someone stole my lawn you'd be behind it. Also happy to know you own a sig!

Yurch - good to see that your still kicking... and kicking with my lawn ornaments as well it would seem.
