Direct copy&paste from my other site that I posted:

If you're one of the shooting fan (no, not FPS, but side scrolling shooter game with spaceship and etc.), then you might have heard of "Dodonpachi Daioujyo", the worst game in the history of shooter gaming history for its difficulty.

Dodonpachi Daioujyo is a scrolling shooter game developed by Cave (apparently another insane scrolling shooter developer named Psykyo has something to do with Cave), who is known for making crazy shooter games where player fires huge ass number of missiles, while enemies shoot even more crap at the player.

The game is known to be extremely insane, maniac, and crazy.

How crazy? Here's a video that comes with actual game DVD that shows how a Japanese guy pulls it off without continuing from first stage, no cheats (after all, it's a PlayStation 2 game), no nothing; just pure skills. It shows him taking on final stage, and beating final boss - all 3 forms - without continues.

So far, it is known that in the world (that has this game), only 6 people in the world can beat the whole game without continue.

Click here to see the massive 40 MB movie that shows you all...

If you get this game from import store (hope you have modded PS2... it's Japanese only game, no English version was released), try beating it with no continues... or hell, try beating 1st stage without losing single life!

Have fun!

Note: Movie is fairly big, please wait patiently for it to completely load... not to mention the movie is hosted on some Korean site, it'll be just a few minutes on a good broadband. XD

Note 2: You will note there are some situations that seem that the player was hit, but he didn't die. The game logic is, when you look at the movie at larger size, there's a white part of the player's ship at the center of it. That's where game counts as hit when it is hit. The parts of wings, etc., does not count as a hit. Also, when a player is in Hyper mode, he receives invulnerability for a limited time.

So, what do you think? ;)

good skills, but why does it say "please wait" in the top right corner and why does it say "replay" in the lower right corner?

Jevus: It is supposed to be the place for 2nd player, maybe it wants the player to wait until the replay ended? And yes, the movie is a saved replay of a guy beating the game, that's why it says Replay at the bottom of the screen. :) Look at the very beginning of the movie, it says to choose a replay file. :)

Freon: What happened to buying old fashioned console games the old way? ;o It's a PlayStation 2 game; not like there's any actual emulator that'll run PS2 games even at 80% quality. ;)
