They're the same range as they were pre-nerf, of course you still have to give up slot 1 to use them. FMJ doesn't add range or damage to any gun; it's Deep Impact from CoD4 but as an attachment.
I've also discovered that the Holographic Sight increases range for shotguns, reduces recoil on the M16, and increases damage on the FAL. Meaning that the FAL with the Holographic Sight is a two hit kill at any range.
Recently I've been using the F2000 a lot, it has a lot of recoil but you shouldn't be holding the fire button down anyway. Just burst fire it at range and hipfire it when you're close. Everyone seems to hate it though.
I just wish it shot spy cameras!

I tried the Bling Pro with the 1887 and it works great, at least for now. I'm not sure if they're quite as strong before being patched but it's darn close. I was going to prestige, but now I don't plan to until it's fixed. I just have too much fun with those things. They didn't even bother me that much before the nerfing.
Agreed the ACR has become a favorite of mine vey quickly. I kinda whored it and unlocked all its atrachments in a day. Now i just use it with the holo sight. Not a fan of the ACR's iron sights. The AK is still a beast of a gun, it kills with less shots then the ACR but you can't easily do long range shots because it recoils more, unless you just pop a few shots off you can't hold the trigger and hit every shot easily.

Yeah, the ACR is good at busting annoying heads in cover. If someone is fully exposed both weapons are pretty much equal to me, I've just grown to prefer the ACR over anything else. I don't like the Holographic sights at all, the red dot sight is just excellent in my opinion, I don't really seek that little zoom the holo provides.
Oh and the AK47 is horrible with any kind of iron sight attachment. You'll want a stock sight as the weapon has so much feedback.
Someone's been playing with retards. Seriously, if you want to have fun with a bad ratio just care "glitch" a game of proclantagkids(TM) or tube the crap out of it using the setup I've posted a while back ITT.
Fun fact - You can still Carepackage glitch after first prestige, I found that out when I did 2 days ago, using the spec ops default class, you got Marathon/Lightweight/Ninja, tac knife. You'll just want to get commando later on, but when running towards enemies that are doing the same, commando is just simply inefficient. Commando will especially work if you're running after your opponent behind him, or if he's standing still/walking backward.

With a game like this the amount of people camping with just their heads behind a wall the ACR is much more useful. I agree in a close up-med range fight either gun will do it's job, infact for such situations i prefer the AK.
And i've never used anything but iron sights on my AK, just because they're that awesome.
This is probably the most kills i've had in a straight up TDM game

Best player I've played MW2 with is NRG. He's almost always in a large gap lead no matter what the **** is on, and the players playing in the other team.

I lol'ed pretty much off-game, decided to copy his name and eventually people hated it as a whole. Pretty ****ing lol if you ask me, he ran off later on without a word, as he must have felt ashamed that I was ruining his "CLEAN" name for trying miserably to get me banned.
