 I didn't even notice you could akimbo those.

You serious? I've been seeing these around since I started playing. I've also got my hands on it quite a few times by grabbing them on the ground. They need to remove the akimbo option, it's just ridiculous in comparison.

That 300 idea sounds hilarious too.

It's hilarious until you get insanely tubed. The riot shield is so weak it's nearly useless. You can kill someone by shooting in their feets. And whilst moving slowly on-sides, the shield is nearly useless as your legs are mostly exposed to enemy fire. I'm talking by both personal and frag experiences.

Well actually you can take care of the feet problem by just crouching a lot and picking your sprints, but yeah, it's useless because of all the other stuff. Mainly being outflanked by multiple people and the abundance of tubes. It's also fairly easy to do some lagninja knifing or just outflank them yourself and get a side shot in.

In MW1 you used to see frag grenades around. Now all you see are tubes instead. I hardly see someone cook grenades anymore. If use them at all. Oh yeah, except for the semtex. That one grenade you never hear coming from the air for some dumb reasons, with a decent angle, that grenade can explode even before touching anything. They don't really bother me, but they have something that nearly everyone seems to favor them now.

I've seen and walked over a lot of akimbo Rangers, but not the 1887. I don't think I've even seen a single person even using a single 1887 yet. I'm sure it's easy to mistake people holding one or the other amidst all the action though.

Edit - I just noticed the steam tags for signatures seem to not be working?

The ranger is ****. Much slower reload, terrible capacity and range. It's the Klobb of shotguns in the game - you only want to use it for the free 4500 XP (kill someone by firing both barrels at the same time) then drop it.

The AA 12 (or w/e it's called) is the nub select of shotguns. On a single target it's nearly impossible to miss. It has to be crap in 1-on-2's.
The fire rate is hilarious. They also nerfed the weapon in caparison to Real Life. The weapon itself has an incredible accuracy/range for a shotgun.

NRG is still much better than me. I know I can pull off some serious frustration match at times, though.
IE got the nuke twice in a row again in different matches yesterday.

"LOL!"
"HAHAHAHA"
"SERIOUSLY?"
"NICE!!!"
"WOW!!"

heh I have no idea how good you are. I just assume so because you seem to play a lot. I have yet to get the game but I really want to. Haven't played any video games since I started working full time in June. :(

That's how all shotguns in games are though. Any real shotgun has a massive range compared to any in games. :(

Groan. Got to the castle mission, and the game looked like it was picking up.

Game audio crashed. Exited game, restarted game.

All game saves lost. Friends multiplayer profile not working.

Fun.

If you think the shotguns are bad, try crossreffing weaponstats with that of their RL counterparts..
M240 and MG4 virtually identical? Not exactly, one's a 7.62, the other a 5.56 - big fundamental damage and accuracy difference IW.

Same with the RPD(7.62), the Aug-HBAR (RL: 5.56 MW2: 7.62) and the L86(RL: 5.56 MW2: 7.62).

Another gem:
Initial results have been favorable - the T.A.R. 21 was found to be significantly more accurate and reliable (as well as more comfortable) than the M4 carbine during extensive field testing -
Yet in MW2 it's the LEAST accurate AR in the game, WORSE than the AK-47, despite the former being a 5.56mm, and the latter being a 7.62 using LONG-STROKE piston (recipe for recoil)!!
Same deal with the L86, which is actually considered a Sniper's LMG in realworld tests!

I mean, come on IW, is it that difficult to retain balance WHILE staying true to what the hell these weapons DO in real life?

What burns be is how the Barrett .50 BMG does not kill, or at least incapacitate in one shot. That's a freaking big bullet for them to just walk it off. And if a one shot kill is too powerful than put it at the end of the sniper list and have people earn it to use it, or remove it from the game.

And for reference lets compare. Standard NATO 5.56 round sits at around 63 grains at its heaviest whereas the heaviest .50BMG is up at 800 grains.

.50 on the left, and 5.56 second from the right.

Actually, they can't lawfully have installed that software on his machine without his permission. He does have a case, even if it is petty.

Well if thats the case then all 20+ million steam users can sue valve, or any other company for updating their games. Can you imagine what that will cause?
