Seems the Mr Hollywood himself, Cliff Bleszinski, lead designer at Epic Games, has been spending spare time making movies. Consulting for the upcoming horror movie Staying Alive, Cliff lends his advice to director William Brent Bell about the fictitional game around which the movie is based.

Bleszinski said that Bell was open to his suggestions, including changing the character in the opening scene from a stereotypical super geeky guy to what a real gamer looks like today (they're normal guys). The weapon in another scene was changed from a fire poker to a crowbar, a weapon commonly used in survival horror games.

When your script writer and/or producers was planning on a "stereotypical super geeky guy" in a movie based around video games, you know there's something odd going on. Way to alienate the audience, geniuses.

And oh, I think the movie's called "Stay Alive." Staying Alive's the sequel to Saturday Night Fever. :)
