Clans. Who is the best?

I would definitely say MMSS or MurderDeathKill (187) is considerably better than HV at CTF.

HV ranks up there though.

well I can't say who is the best UT clan out there... but I can say that BHS is indeed #1 DOM team in the world since we hold the #1 rungs in both europe and NA

And since we beat MMSS at DOM... hard telling. maybe someone will have a 'masters of UT' tourney with a LAN gathering of the euro and NA finalists and crossing all mods

UFm best assault clan ?
that is debatable ufm is prolly best usa clan although pi8 is very close although i don't much about usa assault.

Another thing is >ION< the clan I am in is still ubeaten in league play with about 26-0 http://www.utassault.net/league/index.htm table to be updated

LoL, you don't "Join" a 1337 clan. You have to find them on a pub, whoop their ass considerably, and hope that they ask you

And yes, I think that in pure skill, MMSS is probably the best US CTF clan. HV and 187 are really good too, but from some of the demos I've seen on certain levels, it seems like they practice "team cheese" more than regular CTF (not to take anything away, when they're on a level with no known cheese, they can still own your ass

Thanks evryone! I have decide to stick with my own 'Non-Arrogant Clan' the NAC, I've already found a couple of members. (both of which only live locally and i don't know how good they are or.... but there still in my clan!)

To support my arrogant ways I am making a website (not for the clan, just an ordinary UT website) and once it is finished I will prove to you all that I am anti-arrogant.

Most of the time when topclans meet, its more ping and luck that determines the outcome then anything.

As for the overall top euro clan its probably fooze and Ocrana. Both clans are very good in both TDM and CTF (Ocr have just formed their CTF section and not played very many official CTF games, but all the players are from previously good CTF teams, and having practiced with them I can definately say they know their CTF. They are also very different, fooze is an easygoing clan with just five active members, while Ocrana have swallowed the "PRO GAMING/OUR SPORT" concept whole, so they have something like 70 members all in all and take things VERY serious. For CTF my own clan MC are also up there and for TDM mTw and -X-.

Think its hard to tell which one is "best" tho, its mostly down to ping, dayform, maps, headwind, unconfortable mouse positioning syndrome, the number of cars that passes outside the window while playing and luck when these clans meet. Ie, I don't think there is any chance of any of the topclans running out of excuses for when they lose

Yes Cleaner. Their CTF squad consists of old RR (Rough Religion) and C4 players. RR were by far the CTF team with the highest capacity in Germany when they played IMO. There is some serious CTF talent in that squad, if they can find some way to keep the egos in check (15 CTF players that are pretty good) they will be a top clan in no time. Its pretty hard to keep everyone happy in a team that big tho.

UFM is no longer an assault clan. They have retired from assault and are attempting to make there mark in CTF. At the time they were the Best US clan. And currently in the US Assault scene there are 3 clans who all could take the title at any given time. The skill level is all about equal. THC, UA and my clan pi8. As of this moment we are ranked #1 in the NA.

on the Euro side there are I would say 2 or 3 clan who are on top of there game. ION right now has a fabulous winning streak, so I would give #1 euro clan to them. Followed my NRG and mi5 in no particular order.

It's unfortunate there is no fair way for euro/us clans to play and not have one side feel they couldn't perform to there best of the ability becuase of ping and packetloss issue's. I think it would be a lot of fun and interesting to be able to play our assault brothers/sisters in Europe.

Maybe its the language barrier? Ever noticed how for example French ppl isolate themselves? The majority of Euro players 'out in the open' are UK, dutch, belgian, and german (although there is a large german speaking community as well).

That's the whole problem with these euro vs US matches......c'mon.....we need to find someone who can donate us a T3 server in the middle of the atlantic.....any suggestions?

Little Flower, don't mind me, I am too quick on the handle about such things. I wasn't upset when I wrote that...if that helps any. The funny thing is, I'm not a real American. My mother is Korean and my real father was French (yah). I became an American when I was 7 years old. But enough of me.

Top clans...dunno. I played against alot of people who wore tags of their clans, but I don't keep tabs on who has good or bad skillz. I do remember bad attitudes though.

I play mostly on Mightygame, Wireplay, Barrysworld and several other European servers (I live in Belgium). I met many great players and some bad ones too. In my honest opinion...Euros can out play Americans. Many of the people I played and spectated seemed too godlike and they weren't cheating. Of course, I'm not a good reference...since I suck, but if I had to place my money on the US or Euro players...I'd go with the Euros (LordKhaine excluded of course.

I only know American clans, but among them...

BHS for DOM
Pure for TDM

CTF is a tougher call.

HV on a good night can beat anyone. I wouldn't say they are the best though, cause they don't have the depth of some other teams. It's not like they are a one man team, but if Sonix is out of the game, it definitely hurts them. Don't take that the wrong way, even without Sonix they can trash 99% of the clans out there. But, even with Sonix, I think they would have a tough time with MMSS or 187 (not saying they couldn't pull off a win, I just think they would have to really outdo themselves to do it).

MMSS just won the big UTI thingy. These guys got great individual skills and are real life friends, so their teamwork is superb. They can also beat any clan on any given night. Right now these guys are heavy favorites in any match.

187 gets my vote for best clan overall. MMSS did beat them in UTI, but it was a damn close match. Any match between 187 and MMSS could go either way, their skills are that close. So I guess I would call it a toss up between 187 and MMSS for which CTF clan has the best starting squad. The only reason I say 187 is better overall, is cause they have more depth. Their bench can beat 99% of the clans out there. Actually 187's bench stands a darn good shot against MMSS or HV's first string.

I also think the reformed C1 should be mentioned in here. They just got back together, so they need to prove themselves. And right now they would have a hell of a time playing against any of the above clans that have been working as a unit for months and months. But C1 has some of the best CTFers in the game, and even got some killers to come out of retirement to rejoin. Also, C1 is putting in incredible amounts of practice every night. If they keep working this hard, they could be giving MMSS, 187, and HV a rough time in a few months.

Err... -=]NRG[=- is one of the oldest Euro AS clans still around, only beaten by MoD and possibly [KSL]..

They were the first really competative clan, thus dominating the Euro AS scene until around last March.

They're still one of the top clans, but both {Mi5} and >ION< seems to have an edge on them...

And that concludes todays Euro AS history lession

that's what I heard as well (am pretty new to assault) NRg completely dominated at start, then mi5 had a few months of winning with ksl winning once and while nrg started to lose a bit, now nrg are back up there and so was tnt till they recently split up, now it's too close to really call it between MI5/NRG/ION

Phear NRG started the European Assault league and still runs it to this day. It was a sad day in Assault when TnT broke up. They were a great bunch of guys/gals(?).
