Wow! You're finished. So here's how you scored:
Goth 5%
Trendy 35%
Alternative 50%

Conclusion: Quite how you can be both trendy and alternative at the same time it's difficult to see, but, if the test is actually working properly (hah!), then you may be one of those popular kinds of people who pretend to be stupid just so they can cope with the inanity of their peers.

Some statistics:

25% of Goths surveyed eat a lot of yoghurt.

73% of Trendy peeps surveyed haven't found God.

17% of Alternative peeps surveyed have double glazing.

Trendy 15%
Alternative 50%

Conclusion: You don't readily fit into the other two groups, but you're reasonably alternative... but not quite pretentious enough to actively try and be weird. Or maybe you're just unfashionable. I can't tell. Well, what the **** did you expect? Freud?

Why doesn't everyone stonz0r and listen to Pink Floyd and eat super-sized orders of french fries? While providing an ample supply of spiritual and physical nourishment, it's also ****ing fun and gets you un-depressed so you can get undressed and jerk off into the blender while staring at bikini pics of Amy Bender.

But the question still hasn't been answered... what makes punks or goths better than other groups?

how about just being an individual and having your own thoughts about things? why do people insist on making the lives of demographers so easy?

/me throws a hissy fit and storms off

Ok... so punks are better because they wear colors...
Or... goths are better for their music...

How do punks' colors or goths' music make them better than other groups?

"****ing goths..."

The true punks.. both Britian and the US.. were better that the current Goths..
because..

for the most part.. goths are a bunch of kids.. 13-19.. that come from average to almost better that average household incomes, with both parents working, and the parents have little extra time for the kids.. and the goth thing is a way of getting attention and saying "wow I am sooo cool"

the punk thing/movement started in England as a way of striking back at the social structure.. and most of them were 15-30 working class.. as a form of protest for the way that the youths were being treated in the work force (by way of a lack of jobs).. you must remember that the 'hawks and the spikes came later..
and yes quite a bit of the punks in the US were just fashion statments.. but most of me and mine were using it as a way of experessing the fact that we felt cast out of what was the norm..

the difference between the goths and punks on the last part..
as bad as it sounds... you would have had to been there..

i have to agree. anyone who dresses "strange" just wants people to notice them. i used to be like that. but now i dress so "grey" that i'm almost invisible. i dont want to be noticed anymore, i just want half decent service when i go to the ****ing drive up....

Unfortunately, back at school, all the goths and punks were in the same frat so they were barely distinguishable.

I'm not saying one is better then the other but the punk parties were a riot compared to... everything else we had at school.

i agree.i use to dress 100% in black 100% of the time. i had 8 easr rings in my ear, a nose ring & came close to piercing my brow a few times. use to wear big grey/silver crucifixs around my neck and all kinds of other freaky jewelerey rings braclets and what not. i got somewhere around 10 tat's and would have more if it wasnt for my wife. and now i look like some kinda redneck biker reject. the point im getting at is that anyone who dressess really freaky is after attention.......
