Change Logo map and/or background UT99

I'm wondering,how do I change the UT99 logo map to the Beta logo if it can be done and also the background thru OldSkool? Is the background a wallpaper and if it is what directory do I put it in? I tried changing the logo but it gives me a "can't find file for package 'xyzdMenu2' error. Also is it possible to use OldSkool and mods with UT beta? I'm kind of thinking it's not,but I thought I'd ask anyway.Thanks

No retail version mods will work with the beta version.

XyzdMenu2 is a music file from the beta, copy it where due.

The background will be included with Forgotten Classics Bonus Pack - as well as a fixed version of the beta Logo map. Please exercise proper patience.

If you wish to change the map to UT-Logo-Beta (if that's what your filename is called), then you just need to locate LocalMap= at the beginning of your UnrealTournament.ini.

Thanks for the reply Delacroix,I am being patient,I was just curious that's all,I've wondered about the background changer in OldSkool for a few years now and was just wondering if it works or if it ever worked.I'm not changing anything,and will wait to hear more on the status of the FCBP before I do anymore because I really don't want to screw up my UT install again

There is an option under Options to show the background. Every time you are in the menus, a desktop wallpaper will be visible instead of the game or the logo map when you select it.

Now, Oldskool uses a stripped down OSX Background Changer which is a mod that allows you to use custom wallpapers that you've sliced to 16 rectangles and imported into UT through UEd. Now, OSX BC has several such wallpapers and FCBP will have one - the beta wallpaper.

FCBP is about to hit Alpha Milestone 5 when the flyby maps are sort of complete. Sort of - meaning that there will be bits and pieces that would probably use fixing on a few, but in general, the flyby maps will be done.

Thanks,now I know it's something that I will leave alone,I mean look at the help I needed just for the dual mags,lol.No,I will just wait for you to get in touch about the FCBP
