I've played a bunch of desert-storm maps and some are VERY heavy on fps, some have big BSP holes ( hom's ) and last night i played one that has an invisible wall near defenders spawn ?!

Nothing but bliss to official maps!

Yeah the work load on the couple of people working on the DS maps to finish them in time was immense. Kudos to them because even though the current versions are a bit buggy and heavy on the FPS, but they are orders of magnitude better than what they might have been if not for the work of these guys.

Anyway, I can't believe you rated ACB a 10/10 :D Well I'll guess it's for gameplay ;) It is still my favourite small-game map to play. If it's for gameplay, thank DarkSniper. It was his map originally, and I only made a basement, a sniper's nest, and an underground garage. And relit it. And fixed the bugs. And added some additional routes to the cd. And gave it a new skybox. But the layout's his. :)

i tested all the DS mappack last night late.

i counted 8 maps that where Great , that could compete with the officials maps without shame

the others maps are just too slow (heavy on FPS) , or to ugly or realy bad.. the texture work isn't as good as in the official maps. however , some maps save the pack and are very promising for online play.

I think I've only played 2 DS maps I didnt hate. I disliked them, but they didnt give me a headache like the others. (partly because of the uber brightness and partly for the craptacular gameplay) As a mapper all the little errors and shabby work jumps out at me and is magnified, I guess :\ Kudos to the people that tried to fix them though... :(

RL is getting in the way of me seeing all the maps.

Been playing Mostar off line for a bit and love it. Finally got a chance to play it online.

Holy ****. It rocks. In my opinion this should be the standard mappers need to aim for. Well laid out. Dynamic. Nice atmosphere. Fun as can be.

Can't remember who designed it but thank you.

Well Alpha_9 is brillant. I was bored with learning to map with 2.86 but now. Getting my notes back together to see if I can do something worth while. Hope that mapping manual comes out soon(tm) ;)

Thanks Alpha_9.

Atleast now I have the assurance of not being dumb and not suffering from amnesia when I always got lost on mostar... :D

Never knew it was random...
Once it crashed on this big street, then when I had to attack, it was on the corner of a few small houses, then next game I spawned somewhere else than first round, I was truly lost and quit because I wasn't in the mood for mind-games like these. :p
