Bot pathing in the air

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I was trying to add some path nodes in "mid air" to a section of my map that is zoned off with low gravity. When I do a rebuild, after adding the paths, it doesnt show any connected blue or red lines between them. Is this possible? Or is there another way to get them to navigate in this sort of environment?

Also...is there a way to keep bots still on a mover that travels a far distance. That is without them jumping off before the mover reaches destination?

Can't map for more than an 10 minutes without running into mission impossible. Oh those "newbie blues"....

he wont connect them no mather waht you do, you need to force the editor

2 ways

you make everything, all the paths, and then you make a large bridge in the air, with brushes. you place pathnodes on it, you rebuild paths, and then you will have a line, and then you delete the bridge, and rebuild geometry but not the paths, now you will have the line but not the bridge > but i dont prefer this way, its messy and not cool imo
better way are using liftextis and stuff, the same stuff you use for jumpboot setups, translocators, hammerjumping, ..... look at a map like dm-morpheus, you will see that there is an liftexit on the start place, an liftcenter or an jumppoint (not sure wich one, checkt it in excisting maps) on the destination and a liftexit right next to the liftcenter/jumpspot to say where he has to go right after the jump
then tag all them with the same tag, and he will connect them, and the bots will use it

The quickest way is to just make that zone a water zone, rebuild all and the paths should join up. Then remove the water zone info and replace with a regular zone info and rebuild ONLY GEOMETRY.
