hey BillyBadAss, i know roms are only illegal if you don't have the game and system. that's why i was advising him. mega man 9 never came out in the states, so it is know as rock man 9. it's all in japanease, so i know he probably wouldn't have the import, or the system to run the import (super famicon).

just letting ya know.

hey Wolf Blackstar, SiN is awsome eh? im making some levels for it, and i to, am a hardcore SiNner.

Also play a wee bit of Hexen II and Shadow Warrior occasionally. Will be looking forward to Wizardry 8 -- and Unreal II of course!

The Rock may be the most electrifying event on the Net, but Cammy is (oh) the most delicious(yum, yum)...

Hexen II is classic. so is biking on a 1999 Kona Hahunna model, and playing soccer with your friends. i wanna know how many of you are hardcore bikers or soccer players, or hardcore sport players?

Hey BadAss...

1) Thx for the tip. Actually, my friend is a pirate. Eye patch and all. Har!

2) I'm old school. To show how old, I ride Indy 169's, Powell Mini-Rats, and a Blockhead Hard Times. I did have a nice sym at one time, but my old bones aren't as forgiving nowadays.

I also mtn. bike and hike as much as possible. And snowboard when I can afford the tickets (or when there's enough to go 'backcountry' in PA)

And hey - You're almost 100!

ah yes. snowboarding. what kind of board you use? don't got a board right now, just borrow a friends. with me, i need to get a Burton, because they have a guarantee that there boards are indestructible, and if it gets damaged, you get a new, fresh board. i think i scratched a (i forget the name, but i think it's) Spermy board right up to hell. im trying to perfect my 360 indy nose grab spin for my latest trick. what tricks you guys attempting?

Hey SSSHAD, sounds like fun. You should try cess(?) slides on wet leaves - you can go forever (well, not quite forever...).

Right now I've got a K2 HC161, a pure freeride board, going on... $hit, 7 years old! I don't think they make that model any more. Got it complete for cheap. It was tough to learn 'cause it's a big board, but it's fast as all hell. That's why I like it so much. I can lay back and dust just about anyone. And the speed hucks me off kickers in a big way. Most I can get around is 180, fs and bs, fakie too. But the swing weight is too much and I bite hard if I try to go more.

Burton makes a real solid board. But I have big feet so I'd have to go with one that fits - probably a K2 Trucker or Fat Bob.
Maybe next year.
Haven't had much luck this year to get out. Best year for me was '96, PA got loads of snow. I was living in the Poconos and would go to Camelback (20 min drive) twice a week. (I was working 50+ hrs also!) I think Camelback is the best in the Poconos - fair amount of terrain, high speed quards, nice board park.

oh, sounds like, from what you have, a speed/racing board. if thats the case, i wouldn't recommend doing tricks on it though, heh.. if your into tricks get a balanced board or a freestyle, but if speed is your need, then racing boards do well. usually elgato, you can different sized boards to fit your feet by Burton.

Nope, it's a freeride board ('all-around', 'all mountain' are marketing terms). I have soft boots w/ highbacks. The board is symetrical, unlike racing boards. It's bindings are set back 1" to help keep the nose up in powder or off-trail conditions, but my stance angles are comparable to freestyle boards, not those crazy angles associated with hard boot race boards. I would like to try a race board some day, but I like to charge with my board and go places a rade board would have trouble with (ungroomed trails, backcountry). Plus, like wiz4ha wrote, you can't trick with a racer. Even though I don't rotate, I like to do big mutes and Indy's.

I looked at Burton. Real nice. Hurts the wallet, though. Most new rides do nowadays. And I just shelled out for a new mnt. bike, set me back for a while. I needed a new bike, as compared to wanting a new snowboard.

ah ha! i'm the mountain bike master! what did ya buy man?!? i picked up my bike in march of 99, so i got a Kona Hahunna. sweet bike, but it came with crappy front suspension by RTS i think, yea RTS, thats it. on my 1997 bike, i had picked up a pair of 7" Rox Shox (older model), attached em, and boy were they sweet, but now, im going to switch em over to my newwer bike cos i bombed those RTS ones. i need to know what kind of bike and how much man! BTW, i picked up my bike for 800 canadian, which is a great price for a Kona. i send a picture sometime on the forums.

I got a Trek 930 for about $650 US dollars. Cro-Moly frame (I do not care for Aluminum), Rock Shox Jett T2 (bottom of the barrel Rock Shox), and Shimano Rapid Fire. It was tough finding a bike in my price range with the features I wanted. I wanted a cro-moly frame, rapid fire shifting, sealed components, and cro-moly pedals (I've busted more than enough plastic pedals on my last bike). I wasn't looking for a shock, but it came with the bike that filled all my other needs. (I do a lot of single track where a shock can be more of a hinderance. I do enjoy it now, but it blows on flat surfaces. It eats up any force when you pump hard.) I had a Trek before and was very pleased with it. Ran it into the ground over the course of 8 years. I averaged 2-3 years on parts, replacing and upgrading as I needed. I'll do the same with my new one.

ah, excellkent. if you think thats bad breaking plastic pedals, then wait for this. last september, i was riding home in the rain, and a person in the car waved me to go past, so i started to go, and the bloddy car hit me. Totaled my metal left pedal, grrr. then instead of checking on me, the person just drove off. ah well, wasn't hurt, the car just hit my left leg, and i didn't flip off my bike though. =)

Yeah, wrecks are good, as long as you can walk away. I pulverised my left pinky a coouple of years back by flipping my bike endo-style and driving my left hand into the pavement. See, I was coming home from school (5 mile commute), and like a good law abiding road biker, I signaled to make a right hand turn. Well, some lady in a station wagon full of soccer kids ran the stop sign to the street that I was turning into. Well, of course she cut the corner tight, and I was at cruising speed. Hmmm... left hand braking hard, right hand off handlebars signaling turn = endo! At least I didn't get hit. And she didn't even see me and kept going. So some how my finger got drilled into the road. Real nasty. It was just a piece of skin full of bone fragments and ground beef. Total damage: compound fracture, no fingernail (the growth plate was $hitted out - now my nail looks real funky), and 32 stitchs.

Ive got another good one but this last one was too long... New Post!!!!!
