Flash games do have the advantage of working right away and basically on any system that has a browser and flash plug-in. However, Flash is slow and for games that are more than pressing keys once in a while or point-and-click, I prefer a full-screen native app. Offline play is an additional plus.
And uhm, DE? DE made UT2003 consolish. Granted, DE did a nice job with UT1, but after that they killed it with their focus on consoles. Nowadays Epic is focused on consoles as well and promptly messed up the initial UT3 retail version. No, if (big "if" here!) there's going to be a "UT Live" or anything like that, it must be created by a group that doesn't waste brain time on console development.
