If this site were to disappear I believe a part of me would too.

Agreed, for the veteran users especially, BU pretty much becomes a part of your life. As long as there's a BU they'll be Unreal, and as long as there's Unreal, they'll be a BU.

Heya Pete, I just happened by and saw your article before it slipped off the main page. I pop back to the BU front page every now and then, just as a curiosity more than anything. It's nice to click the "Comment" post and see a bunch of friends from the days when I used to run a popular server for BuF'ers.

It's good of you to have the commitment you have. I am really not a part of the community anymore, but there would certainly be a weird emptyness if it were gone. A lot of us have been around since we were PuF. Even for those of us who leave, this place is still a part of our lives. We have good times, laughs, and lots of warm fuzzies to remember about this place.

I followed Nali City here from PU a few years back and made Beyondunreal my new home. Although my background is in psychology (and psychology people i know loathe video games in general), I am a gamer at heart and I've found this site to be an excellent community for anyone to looking for a home on the internet. Thanks for all the great info and Unreal goodness over the years. Here's to an excellent future which will no doubt continue its greatness due to all the hardwork the staff and community put into this site.

I went through real life issues too and so left the Unreal scene. However I didnt come back and so my site Fragadelic went down the drain. Pete was the initial guy that brought my site live on PU many years ago and then gave me froums on BU when he moved.

Thankyou for this and for the input you have put into the community all these years.
