All Unreal 2 fan sites

I dont understand you... You got the same stuff that Unreal2.com has only you have more complicated urls
You write previews 2 weeks after the pro-sites (i.e Gamespot, 3dactionplanet.com etc etc) that isnt all that good and with information that we've seen a thousand times....

Are you doing it for your own pleasure or do you really think people visit your u2 fan site?

Not to bring you down, but like every other site i see these days are U2 fan sites and its kinda getting to me

Think of it as redundancy. What would happen if GSI croaked? There goes the whole damn "community"

Emphasis on community, as well. Does a single site qualify as a "community"? Certainly not to the extent of a group of similarly oriented sites. And besides, even if some of the content is similar (or even near-identical in some cases), there's always a nugget or two of new info or original hostings to be found.

It also simply comes down to personal taste. Not everyone likes a particular site's writing style or bias toward whatever issues, so those people seek out similar sites that fit their tastes better. There's no such thing as too much choice.

EDIT... Oh yeah. Calling GameSpot a "pro" site cracks me up

My point beeing that why look at fan sites when the information on the main site is the latest, no matter what taste you have i think its pre-mature to start fan sites before the game is out

The info on u2.com is quite brief. They've even shortened the description of the game relative to an earlier version. Some of the reviews and interviews on 3rd party sites had much more detailed information. A fan site that collects all these bits and pieces of what is known about U2, UC and UW to date and compiles them in one place with a bit of structure would be really nice and useful. But there is none yet; at least no good one.

Planet Unreal is not a U2 fan site, it serves the entire Unreal gaming community. But its also fun to browse the U2 forum as long as you're here.
It's kind of like window shopping at you're favorite stores, you might not be looking to buy anything, just want to see what neat stuff is out there.

Im not talking about Planet unreal here.... Im talking of these smaall fan sites.

Planet unreal is covering every game using the u engine (pretty much) so pu i got no problems with... okay, a few problems but none which are mentioned here

See it like this, (and this is just my oppinion) what if the webmasters of these sites dont understand that there is little need of creating a new fan site for a game that already have billionz of sites (that are big and covers pretty much everything)
What if I make them see that... That they might be able to do something else that is of more importance... What if....

And i think this reply might aswell close this topic as noone can give me a good answer

Seams to me like there are alot of people out there that dont know what they are doing so im just gonna run along before they realize that the time they are doing whatever they are doing could have been spent doing something so much better than what they were doing at that time... yea....
