UE3 - UT3 additive mapping

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I just started mapping indoor for the first time with ut3 and I was wondering if the right way would be adding a wall after wall and plane on the bottom to create a room...that sucks...
you know in 2k4 you did just subtract a cube and you had your 4 walls and a floor with ceelings and stuff, now you have to add 6 times a surface to create a room ? I dont get it...

You can still add a Cube and substract out of it. Just don't make that initial cube as big as the world, make it barely bigger than your map. Then set all the outside surfaces to "remove surface material".
