A small suggestion for the next Inf

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I like the idea of vehicles, but I would rather see vehicles as more of a device to encourage teamwork, rather than people to simply hop in and blast eachother way in a big arcade-fest.

This is an infantry sim, after all.

hahaha that is cute! Reminds me of the radio controlled Scorpion tank I used to have as a kid (pretty sure it was a replica of a real tank). Only 3 tonnes too, that's reallly light for a tank.

If the next INF has vehicles, I want to see a Segway. That'd be fun to shoot people off ;)

Correction: It's fun to fly the acrade simulated ones. Fly a real chopper, fly real high so when you have to bail out you have a long fall to curse yourself for not remembering a parachute ^_^

I hope most maps will have hills and obstacles to prevent vehicle movement. I hated that in UT2K4 and BF1942 you could stalk a pedestrian over a mountainside in any vehicle. I'd hate to see transport trucks go up 90 degree angles and still have INF marked as a "realistic" game.

WHOA! I had a GI Joe tank when I was a kid and it looked EXACTLY liketheweasel with the dual rocket launchers!!!

So that's where they got the design/.... kinda sucked since my brother had the cobra command base so I never really won...

If you are referring to the MBTs, then Beppo said in a thread once something that MBTs wouldn't be included and that the vehicles would only be limited to transport vehicles and not heavy armor. But that was when you guys were trying out UT2K4.

Vehicles will be large moving targets... and with AT4s and the like in the mix... well you know. BTW question. How many players in a decent rig server can you play with HL2? Im wondering if we are gonna see 16 vs 16 or more INF games. Then vehicles could be slightly more feasable.

Depends on what rig you mean. One of my regular servers the LooneyAsylum had to reduce they're player count from 40 to 32 because of lag, yet it's still laggy. Whether it's bandwidth or CPU I'm not sure, but either way it can't handle it.

Yea, I was planning on making a trailblaser with not back (pickup bed instead :)) such that someone would drive, 3 passangers, and a person in back shooting... Yay!
