3DFX website to be closed (again) but some good news for loyalists.....

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

For games:
GF3 (cause its drivers are more stable)
R200 (radeon 7500) cause its hella fast (drivers need to be improved)

Money being no object ...this leaves you with a fast card for slow rendering of open gl (best for rendering CGI). Those 3dlabs oxygen cards are hella fast (for cad and 3d open gl rendering) and far superior in visual quality however they are a bit slow in generating high fps for games that need it.

Check it out:

Sorry but more expensive cards wont give you a better faster experience than the cards at the top. They will only give you better quality images.

My bad
I thought they would have improved the win 2k drivers.....but they are just slacking off. Well they are still hella fast in win 98. People are still setting records in 3dmarks 2001. 13000+ score was the last one i saw. the famous Macci system. (peltier and water cooled vid card and processor)
I weep cause i can only get a 1700 score with my v5 :p
