Epic unveils Paragon...kinda

The latest game from Epic games has been announced, but that is about it.

Paragon at this point in time could be just about anything, and in the coming weeks Epic will be revealing more information.

Currently all we know is there are possibly 5 playable characters, Twinblast, Steel, Sparrow, Dekker and Grux and that is it. The site contains little information currently so we are all wondering what could possibly be happening.

Its really odd timing I thought they would be ramping up Fortnite PR soon for a public beta.

As for this game I have not enough information to really be excited or interested yet....

Sounds like "a permanent internet connection will be required for gameplay......"

It's pretty obviously a MOBA, revealing new "heroes" each week.

I think this game is a commercial response to Blizzard's Overwatch MOBA which is already in beta.... Epic used to be ahead of the curve back when the Unreal franchise was on fire; now they just seem to be trying to catch up to the industry.

I think Epic are more about selling the engine than the games these days. Everything they're doing seems to show off a new feature instead of a game.

I dunno, UT4 looks pretty legit to me. I know most here are burned out on UT, but it's really not bad at all.

You've got to keep a community interested so that content is made and its another thing Epic can show off what their Engine can do when it comes to communities

Aye, I pop my head in once in a while to see what's going on, then pretty quickly return to lurking the internet

Makes me think of Mass Effect, the title.

But looks like a third person shooter version of HOTS. Not my cup of tea. I'd wait it out for UT4 before cramming another Epic title under the belt.
