Snakeeye.

relax man, he's joking (why do you think it was in off topic)

and as for the Boise Bashing, I thought I did a good job defending your little burg.

Actualy there were only 2 things that kept me from moving there. The 14hour drive back to see the family (I wouldn't want to drive that trip around xmas, but the wife doesn't fly) and I didn't think I could afford a house in North Boise, which is a lot like the neighborhood I live in now and really the only part of town I wanted to live in.

sorry snákaie, I didn't mean to mispell your name, next time I post a reply to one of your messages I'll make sure that every time I use the name snéquei that I spell it snake i and not some sort of odd mispelling like snakeye.

I'm glad we have this all cleared up.

(good thing this isin't a verbal forum or nobody could pronounce my nick, well maybe some of the German members but that's about it)

It's stamped on the engine sheetmetal of my Porsche, followed by 1 4 3 2.
It's also shown up on the valve cover of every BMW I've owned and every Mercedes I've worked on (I used to be a mechnic in a shop that specialized in German cars)

roughly translated it means "Firing Order"

and yes, Snakeye, There should be umlats over the u (ü) but it's a pain to add them all the time and sometimes it doesn't dilplay properly when I enter them.

Ok, Zundfolge, help me out here. Is it pronounced "Porsh" or "Porsh-a"?? I'm pretty sure it's the former but I've heard it both ways and I just want to make sure so when I go to buy my 911 Turbo I won't be embarassed /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Dr. Ferry Porsche pronounced his name Porsha, but in most circles porsh is fine (kind of like Chevy is ok for Chevrolet)

I find porsche owners who get all snotty about the pronounciatoin of Porsche are dicks who should be ignored.

As for my Porsche, it's a 1970 914 w/a 2.0 from a '73 and a the tail shift trans is converted to side shift.
