Boise, Idaho
Boise is the capitol of Idaho, a state neighboring my own Washington State here in the northwest corner of these United States of America. Idaho also borders Oregon (where Warren is from), Nevada (where Las Vegas is), Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. And it has the reputation for being our biggest potato-producing state. I've been to Idaho once, just across the border from my own state. Had a nice dinner there!

I considered moving to Boise. As a graphic designer there were good paying design jobs just growing on the trees out there. Not a bad little city either (I had several good meals the week I was there interviewing and checking things out).
The main reason we didn't move there is the 14 hour drive we'd have to make once or twice a year (and driving through Wyoming to go home for christmas seems to me to be a good way to get ones self killed).
BTW, HP is HQ'd there, and a big chunk of Micron's operation is there, plus several smaller Hi-tech firms. Some people are calling it Silicon Valley North.
So to respond to Buddy Pickle, I have two words for you Wichita and Kansas

Boise is also called "The City of Trees" (even though there are more trees here in Wichita).
but you could call it "Miles and Miles of nuttin' but white people" I think in the week we were there, we saw 2 black people and about a dozen or so Latinos.
Kinda freaked us out, believe it or not Wichita KS is a rather racialy diverse city. (not that I have anything against white people, seeing as how I are one).
Also I saw more air cooled VWs there then I saw in SoCal! (saw several 23 window busses, and a couple of split window bugs too) So maybe it could be called "Little Wolfsburg".
Oh well now our target city is Santa Fe NM. And as soon as I find a job there, I think it'll be truck rental time (maybe Gryphon could loan me the armored car for the move)
