Crucible v1 Released

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

A big time update and release from the RuneStorm team; Crucible v1 adds a ton of new content and there's an equally large amount of media and a new trailer to drool over. Here's what's you get:

Hal do you mind if you are so kind, to explain how is played that new gametypes ( Bounty, ScoreTheft)?

Wait, this was also available before? I thought only the characters were available, and not the mod itself.
Looks like I'll be downloading something again when I get home.

Love the gargoyle, btw, but it looks like you can only use Crucible chars and weapons in Crucible gametypes? If so I hope this will be fixed in future releases, as being able to customize and mix & match everything is a big part of the fun (for me, anyway).

There's a way past it, include the Crucible Weapons mutator in these gametypes and configure it, there's a tick box that says "use crucible weapons". All you have to do is untick that to play with stock weapons in the new gametypes.

One thing that's missing though is Iron Sights, the weapons jsut doesn't feel right without it.

the anti-ut3 arguments are becoming more and more baseless everyday.

I never complained about Unreal Engine 3 and the codebase of UT3 which delivers a lot to make good games/mods. ;)

Hm, ok, but I also want to play with other custom weapons, like Runestorm's own BW port. Also this doesn't fix the char issue.

One thing that's missing though is Iron Sights, the weapons jsut doesn't feel right without it.

It would be nice if the guns had more features like back in the Ballistic days, and if they added some energy weapons (or some kind of bow) for diversity.

Hey guys

I'm still working on new mirrors..

As for patches, we use v2.1. I'm not sure if it will work on all previous ones.

For not being able to use custom chars and weapons: We forced all bots, or players without a profile to be Crucible characters.. I' mnot sure if there is a problem in there though. And for weapons, next time around, the mod should be in TC format, so it should work more modularly :)

More guns and features will follow as we progress. This stuff doesn't happen instantly, especially with only 3 of us ;)
