Another "UT3 Connection Failed" thread

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Ok, every time I try to connect to ANY server on UT3 I get "Connection Failed". Running the latest patch + Titan pack, on Windows XP SP2, Ambit router/modem (a.k.a. "Gateway?") with Time Warner cable, logging in on web browser on 192.168.0.1 user: ADMIN password: cableroot

I've already tried opening all the necessary ports. Did I miss a particular one? Am I opening my ports properly?

FYI 192.168.0.13 is my IP address that is registered to the modem.

As I just moved into an apartment, it's my first time having high speed internet (wireless 54 mbps). Prior to this I've never played online because I'd have a dialup (56k) connection back at my parents' home when I was still living with them. I'm excited to try out UT3 online, but this is a real bummer. Any help?

Ok, if you're not going to post anything constructive, don't post at all. This isn't the OFF TOPIC forum, this is for "Hardware, software & troubleshooting". If you're going to post a load of crap, get the hell out of this thread.

And as far as the "porn"... I'm sharing with 4 other guys in the apartment. Maybe someone else has been smurfing the web. Who knows. That's their business, not mine. You shouldn't bother into that. <-- And I know you didn't actually hack our modem/router, because it's turned off at the moment; we're all outside of the apartment at school/work/fun/wherever.
