UGO takes a look at everyone's favorite cel-shaded, Unreal-powered shooter, XIII. It's a detailed preview at one of the more intriguing titles coming up in the fourth Quarter of this year.Apart from the single-player game in XIII, encompassing 34 levels that should take around 25 hours to blow through, the game will also feature full multiplayer support on 12 different maps. The standard modes, like Deathmatch and CTF, will be accompanied by oddities like Barfight, which will put you and your opponent in a tavern stocked with chairs, bottles and other painful objects, so you can…uh…have a fun night out. There are also a few secret modes that Ubi Soft hasn't shed light on yet, so we'll be sure to keep our eye out on any news.
XIII is looking like a work of art. Apart from the incredible graphical style, it'll have an intense storyline and superb FPS gameplay, making it no slouch in the oft-crowded genre. The release is still a few months away, planned for October of this year, but we can be patient. Just so long as the developers don't go so far as to include ads for X-Ray specs and Sea Monkeys in the game's manual, we'll be more than happy when we see this comic book-styled FPS hit stores.
