good read, number 5 is exactly what I always believed went wrong with Epic. The first time I ever read Mark Reins' name was when the company started to suck. My first epic game was Jill of the Jungle in, uh, EGA graphics(would've been zone66 but I never got this game running). Before Mark Rein appeared you had all these talented guys who frequently shared Epic information, and then just Mark Rein who always appeared to me like a used car salesman. Back in the day I sent a few emails to cliffy regarding uED and I got an answer almost immediately.
Ah. So, not just PC gaming is dying, the whole video game industry is dying. Right.
