I tried the 420 beta and my frame rate freaked out BIG time after I played a few maps.. it dropped to about 15 fps for no good reason until I rebooted. Maybe something else caused it but either way it was pretty lame.

I was reading the UTCenter forums that there is a link at http://www.5assedmonkey.com/files/ut/utpatch420.exe but for some reason, it's not working. So I am hoping somebody posts up another link soon.

if it doesn't work from here, just copy and paste and it should work
and yes it works very well with my viper 770

Yea, the problem with these leaked patches is that people notify Epic when someone posts a link to them, so they are threatened to take them down. Usually a link gets pulled within 2 hours of it being posted... it's best to just keep it on the down-low

Ahh, thanks, I am downloading it right now. I can't stand 413! It's too messed up. I had to waste my whole hard drive space and delete System Shock 2 because 413 couldn't start up on minimum install.

Just asking, if 420 were to screw up and I needed to revert to 413, what would I have to do to get it back?

I've seen posts from people saying that just installing an older patch didn't fix some stuff (when they got 413). Would I be forced to uninstall UT and reinstall/update, install all mods/maps/etc?

honestly, i don't know. just back up your system directory, and if it does screw up, replace the new one with the old one

VERY noticable difference in D3D with my AMD450 128ram Viper2!!! Smooth finally!

Skin detail - med
Coronas off

In MeTaL it doesn't seem to make much difference if any.
