I use it on Face alot for several purposes:
1) To load-up on sniping goods and land on a ledge over there to snipe from behind
2) Land on a ledge over there and make your way up the back to fark with the idiot-snipers on the roof
3) The most important reason to use it is that you make it to the enemies base with full health and armor (if you picked it up off the roof before you translocated.
Translocating on that map is very easy. Get on the roof and move to the far left of the nook with the teleporter. Make sure you are backed against the wall (in the corner). Try to place your disk close to the left wall about half way between you and the top of the ramp. Kneel down and, even though it looks like your disk is going to fly to the left (due to the angle your hammer will strike it), it usually flies slightly right and lands just to the right of the middle sniper nest on the enemies base. Once you are there, you can do whatever you like. Sometimes, I snipe from there and TL into the nest when I am out of bullets then just TL back to the ledge. It is up to you. But, like I said, even if sniping isn't your thing (which it isn't really mine), it is very useful to avoid conflicts heading to the opponents base.
Clear as mud?
