Hitler said, "Fuck you, I'm right," rather loudly. Do you really think any of those events you listed didn't have vocal opposition? The idea of "free speech" is just something written down on a piece of paper. In reality all public speech is never completely free from manipulation. Sometimes it is manipulated more, sometimes less. We have an entire industry built on manipulating speech.

I'm not against people speaking their minds if they actually know what they're talking about. I'm not even against people being stupid and having uneducated opinions who like to talk about them. I'm against people with no clue and the possible ability of controlling my personal life having the opportunity to speak to and rally the rather large group of close-minded people in this country. I don't give a shit about morals or traditions, if you don't want to eat meat on Fridays I don't care, but if you're going to actually damage my life in some way then you need to shut up.
