Played on the streets downtown today, since the weather was cooperating. I've been trying to figure out whether I'm going to go electric or acoustic for the show I'm playing in May (I'm doing an hour opener for a benefit).

Anyway, here are a couple newer tunes I'm doing. I haven't done any studio work with them. These are just videos of my rehearsing.

Pretty rough performance wise, but I always seem to fuck up videos. First one is my own arrangement of Summertime, second is a tune I wrote.

Yep. Have you seen the video teaser they aired as part of an SNL ad? Looks like they made a pretty badass video to go along with a pretty badass single. It's simple, but Daft Punk has always known how to put on a show.

I wouldn't exactly say Daft Punk is making a 'comeback,' I don't think they ever lost anything. They just haven't dropped a studio album in a few years. Don't forget that only a couple years back they received a lot of praise and media attention for the Tron Legacy soundtrack.

Superior Drummer is the best as far as realistic sounding drums.

I recently bought it bundled with the "metal foundry" expansion pack. Normally we're talking around $400 for that, but made them an offer of $200 and they accepted it. I was surprised they did:

DNB, did you ever post that song you were making with the Maschine expansion?

The copyrights finally came through on the album we've been working on, so soon I will be able to release my instrumentals in public places like Bandcamp and Soundcloud. For now, here's a few you guys can check out.

I produced all of these. The production was done with a NI Maschine Mk2 and a Yamaha MM6, vocals were recorded with a Sterling Audio ST69. The mixing was done with Reaper. Some of them have vocal hooks, those are me too. I kinda borrowed the idea for the 'Been Better' track from an old R. Kelly song, but I recreated it with classical guitars just to see how it would turn out. In any case, it's nice to finally be able to release some of my good stuff here.
