In KGalleon
They have 3 basic sections.
1. SkyZone
2. WaterZone / WarpZone
3. Normal / WarpZone
1. The Skyzone, I hope is obvious to you. (It is wierd, but not important
to water effect your looking for.)
2. The WaterZone is simply a subtratact cube divided by a nonsolid sheet.
The Sheet has a water texture. The basic (un-detailed) hull of the ship
is situated in the middle of the sheet. Below the sheet is the WaterZoneInfo
actor. I assume you know how to make a Water Zone. Above the the Sheet is a
WarpZoneInfo Actor. See the many tutorials at...
http://www.game-edit.com/tutorials/Unreal/All_Tutorials/
for tutorails on using WarpZones.
3. The last section is the main section where the player move about.
There is another non-solid sheet just below the the midline of the (detailed) ship
with a another WarpZoneInfo actor below this sheet. When A player falls
from the ship he falls into the WarpZone and is transported to the linked
WarpZone just above the WaterZone in the section discribe above. He then
falls into the WaterZone. The WaterZone has a negitive "Z" volocity of
500, and BELIEVE this sends our friend to the bottom of the ocean and his
demise.
Look at the KGalleon map in the editor, it really is very simple. It's all
done with WarpZones. Go to the link above, and search out WarpZone tutroials.
