So - where are all the people?

Whenever I go to the server list, I usually get about 5 servers.

There's this Fool one on there that seems to be the only one that has "people" on it (like 5/18)... however, whenever I join it's just a bunch of bots and no one is ever on it.

I'm just curious if I'm missing something here.

Poop - so it's pretty much dead?

Is there some secret time to be on, and some specific server I should be looking at?

Well I tried a little bit ago - it showed 18/18 people... so I couldn't get in. I refreshed it and suddenly got on - but it was those bots again - none of the names listed were actually in the game, it was those bot names.

I finally got on!

I sucked and got killed quite easily. It'll take a lot of time getting used to it again, it's really different from anything I've played in years.

I think I must have been doing something wrong. I was clicking on the server name, this clicking "Launch"... however, I tried double clicking and it seemed to bring me to the real server :)

Haha, Launch is the button you use when playing Offline. Now you know why you were being sent to Bot land. Also, there is a switch above Launch called Net Launch or something Net, that's for hosting a server. You shouldn't turn that switch on either :)

Actually, the numbers on the front forum page are correct. Except those are not people viewing. Apparently, we are so interesting that netspiders flock to our forums.

I come to the forums to see if SS are replying to any topics or if there's any news. I check it pretty often. But I'm not interested in playing INF, well, the UT99 version that is.

I have high hopes that SS will crawl out of their hibernating caves and take a gander with their puffy , sleepy eyes and see if they are going to do anything with UT2007, oh, only once the Mod Tool kit is released. Which could be in about a year and a half to two years....

...back to sleep.....
