Hmm, I dunno Troll. I may have overestimated the time, but I still think it could take a while. I was playing some RA earlier today, and with selfdamage off, some of the matches definitely lasted more than a minute.

But whaddo I know... I'm the yutz who thought this game was rockin with 10 fps :)

game length depends on map... some maps are relatively big and those could take awhile.. but each round lasts roughly a minute..

what is the official ra map of PUFRAT??? (puf ra tourney) i vote for RA-superman, the only player made ra map that i know of, and it rox them all, in my opinion. my other vote goes for the first one in akuma, i love that one.

There is no OFFICIAL map for PUFRAT, but...

I have rethought the method of doing the tournament. This should be the last time I'll need to do it. A lot of you were complaining that the tourney would be much too long, so I decided to do the tournament this way.

I have cut out the 4 out of 7 to win a map thing. Well, not really. All you have to do to win a map is beat your opponent in a best 4 out of 7. That's it. Like I said before, we'll do a best 3 out of 5 for each arena (each set of maps). So the tournament shouldn't be as short anymore. Also, we will only play the maps given with Rocket Arena. RA-Superman didn't work for me. We will play each arena in alphabetical order as the rounds in the tournament go by, i.e. the first round is RA-Akuma, the second Clawfist, then CliffyB, Ebolt, Inoxx, and finally Warren if CliffyB himself agrees to play the winner. So I suggest all players in the tournament to practice on CliffyB only. If you do move on, then you can practice on the next arena, and the next, and so on.

REMINDER: Entries are still being accepted for the Official Planet Unreal Forumers - Rocket Arena:UT Tournament. If you are interested in entering or maybe even spectating, please e-mail me at the66thdopefish@mediaone.net. Entries to participate in the tournament will not be accepted after 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, June 4th. Spectation entries will be taken through Sunday, June 4th. If you are interested in spectating, please e-mail me saying what match you would like to see. This will be important because match dates and times will vary and may not be publicized.

Uhh.. so we have to do best 3 of 5 - on EACH arena? Dopey, you know that some maps are 2 v 2 only right? Stick with the 3(?) RA maps that are 1v1 only.

Even then, the opponents really should decide on one Map - and one arena. 3 of 5 sounds good.

Otherwise, you're a bit confusing with your 4/7, 3/5 on each map thing...

Please explain.

Rooster: you can make it so that 1 v 1 is forced. It's in there when you set up the server. Also, in the rules section you can set the round limit to 7. That's what I'm talking about with the 4 out of 7 thing. When you win a best 4 out of 7 on one map, you win that map and we go to the next map. The 3 out of 5 thing is referring to the use of the first five maps of each arena (each arena has six maps, my bad :)). If you win in 3 out of those five maps, you advance.

On a very damn sad note, Neo Skinz, due to his apparent incapability to connect to most RA servers, has bowed out of the tourney. That means that Xercxes will be moved into the spot Neo's leaving behind. This also means that Xercxes is going to have to train like a m0f0 if he wants to beat DragonAsh.

Remember, this Sunday is the last day to sign up. I have a request of all the people who haven't signed up (in particular Jen, Liquid_Sin, CookieMonster and Voyd).

You four: please sign up. It would mean a great deal to me, and it'd be fun to see you guys perhaps potentially play against each other. I really want to play aginst you guys some more because, frankly, I feel you guys are at the heart of this PU community. I want to reiterate my apology for coming off egotistical in the awards thread. It was not my intention and I'm sorry I riled you guys up. I'm just upset that we can have these awards when many of us have talents that are never seen. When I get home from school on weekdays, I go right to UT and stay on all day, because I want to play as much as I can for as long as I can as many times as I can. UT is pretty much my life because I have no job, no car and I haven't taken driver's ed. And you know, being a UT-aholic isn't a bad thing. I'm going to spend my life on computers anyway, so why not start now?

Any way, you four, plus anyone who hasn't, sign up.
